Patty Reeves, R. Daniel Atlas' former Assistant turned Escapologist
Logan McKinney, a renowned Hypnotist until his brother took everything from him, now making his way through street shows.
& V Wilder, a master in Sleight of Hand and Cardistry who uses magic as the cover up of his actual trick - the vanishing of your wallet.
They call themselves The Four Horsemen. Backed by Insurance Company CEO Arthur Tressler, their first show will be in Las Vegas. But are they as good as advertised? Or are they yet another in a long line of magicians to be exposed for what they are - Con Artists?

Welcome to my Ask Blog! This is loosely based upon the movie Now You See Me but you don't have to have seen it to understand the plot. While a lot of the basic arc will follow the movie, it will ultimately be the askers who influence what the characters do and the eventual result.
Askers in this case are voices in the air that the characters will not question because I said so. They can also influence the physical world, if they want to.
Characters who only show up as one-offs will have their text look like this. While they are probably not part of the plot after their piece is over, they are open for questions well after.
Plot Posts will occur every few days, depending on how the ask box looks. Plot Posts will be tagged #Plot Posting and will not be asks. Mostly, they will be shows and new character intros. All posts will be tagged with the characters who appear in them as they are in this AU (Roman is tagged as R Daniel Atlas, even though he is Roman)

Okay but there's a point to be made. What are we still doing here, Special Agent Rhodes and Interpol Agent Flores?
We have to question your associates still.

Mr Rhodes, do you know the first rule of magic? Don't answer. I'll tell you. Always Be The Smartest One In The Room. We will always be 3, 4, 10 steps ahead of you. What is is Roman is always saying? The closer you look, the less you see? He's right.

*Nico and Thomas exit the interrogation room, headed towards Patty Reeves' interrogation room. Nico is still soaking wet*

okay but we literally did not rob the bank. If you keep us here beyond initial questioning, you have to go to your boss and tell them you believe in magic, and then you'll get fired.
That's true, I think the cops are dumb. You want something to drink? Have you ate today?

I haven't really gotten to eat anything today, no. I was woken up by the French guy locking handcuffs around my wrists and saying I'm to be taken into custody for a magic trick. not exactly the best start to the day.
What have you guys done before this?? Virgil? Patton? Logan? Roman? Answer!
It's a little difficult to answer considering I am currently handcuffed to a table and ideally i'd like to not incriminate myself. the 5th amendment exists for a reason

The tape's aren't on, so i feel comfortable saying this. It's not like we've done anything crazy. Just a bit of tax fraud, squatting in an apartment, Pickpocketing, the works. It's nothing like the main event.

I mean, my whole specialty is pickpocketing. So i've done plenty of that in my days. Plus reverse-pickpocketing. A bit of shoplifting, some forgeries. Won't be the craziest thing we do by the end. I can't wait for the third act. It'll really be my time to shine. Gonna stop talking now, since the two FBI guys are coming into my room.
