The time spent between the two of them felt like a never ending dream to the wolf girl. These short moments were so enjoyable and innocent that none of it felt real. None of them should have been real. The wolf girl’s mind and body were continuously falling back into her human nature and slowly she was becoming much more carefree than she should have been. Humans always were lucky enough to have that sort of privilege. With them being raised in such a large group of hunters, protectors, gathers, etc, enjoying the fun moments and no worries of the dangers around them was considered both a blessing and a curse to the wolf girl. San was raised with a completely different thought process. Living in Shinigami’s forest, under the constant loving guard of Moro and her two other cubs, the wolf clan was not gifted with such necessities. As San grew up, Moro was more than enough protection over all three of them, but San was reprimanded more than a few times if she got too careless in the wild. With Moro gone and San much stronger than when she was a pup, she could easily take care of herself, plus the added bonus of her brothers. However, even with her brothers, San’s senses were always on overdrive with her fight-or-flight almost constantly on. She never slept too deeply. In all that could be said, Ashitaka had proven himself plenty of times that he could take care of her if the time was ever called for. Her defenses were shutting down around the male and she was okay with this… “Ashitaka…”
The two were slowly starting to settle down from a suddenly rushed day together. There was always something the two of them could do, but San knew that Ashitaka needed to go back to Iron Town and San needed to go find her brothers. They would be together again soon. Maybe not tomorrow. Or even next week, but soon. They were forever drawn together, heart and soul. San was ready to set off after they seemingly said their goodbyes, sad as they were, but Ashitaka stopped her from leaving for some reason. She could read that there was something on his mind that had been dying to come out for a while it seemed. The wolf girl was about to ask what was causing the warrior such distress, but Ashitaka beat her to the talk. ‘May I have a kiss?'
