“I assure you those are unnecessary.”
The silence and tightening of the handcuffs he receives in response tells him that this is not a therapist visitor he is going to deal with. When they walk him through a hall past the meeting rooms he starts to get just a tiny bit nervous, smile falling off. They sit him down in a holding cell for what B supposes is about ten minutes before the guards come back in.
He jokes about death penalty as they instruct him up and settle a blindfold on him. Apparently they don’t find it funny judging by a shove he receives to get him moving again.
The outside fresh air feels cold on his skin as he walks out of the building and it disorients him for a moment, making him stumble over a step and mentally curse the guard who most definitely did not warn him about the stairs on purpose. He doesn’t find it funny.
"Head down.” B obeys, allowing his head to be pushed down and in a matter of moments he is in a car, and the door is closed behind him. He shifts and the amount of confusion grows, and then he hears someone else shift on the other side of the car.
