Not What I Intended (Closed)
Max woke up in her dorm room one Spring morning at Blackwell. She was tired but most of all concerned. She heard screaming and running. A huge banging sound coming from her dorm room door. She opened it to see Warren looking panicked and his bags packed.
“Max! What are you doing, get dressed, grab your shit and let’s go!” Max let Warren in and closed the door as she looked bewildered. “What are you talking about? Warren what’s going on??” Warren helped Max pack while she got dressed in her jeans, t-shirt and hoodie and slipping on her converse.
“It’s happening. The fucking end of the world.” Max looked at Warren with a slightly confused look, “That was just the party Warren.”
“No! Max, I am telling you. Remember, the snow fall, eclipse and double moon? Dude, it’s the fucking apocalypse. I dunno why or how, but we gotta go! The dead are walking around. Principle Wells was eating Ms Grant!”
Max gasped. Oh my God! I did this?! She thought in despair. “D-did you see anyone else, Mark - I-I mean Mr. Jefferson??” Warren nodded, “He was trying to get in here but everyone was running he told me to get you out. We’re supposed to meet outside of the city. I think Victoria got out with Nathan. Chloe’s been missing. Anyway, it doesn’t matter now, I need to get us out of here before the whole damn school gets infected and we die!!”
Max understood his urgency and began helping him before they ran down the hallway and towards his car. She put her things in the backseat and looked at Blackwell. It was becoming overrun and smoke billowed out of it. “The science lab exploded.” He said before she got into the car. Max wasn’t sure if her rewind powers would work or not but seeing blood, dead bodies and not knowing where Mark was ate at her.
“We have to find him, Warren. I have to find him.” Warren knew who she was talking about. “You and him, huh?” Max frowned. “What?”
Warren sighed as they were driving down the highway towards the end of the city. “I could tell, the way you asked about him, the look in your eyes. The way he frantically tried to get to you. He beat the shit outta David Madsen and then killed a couple of those...things. Walkers, I guess you’d call em. So many...Logan, Zachary, Samuel. I think Kate was okay last I saw her. Alyssa got bit. It’s been a damn mess Max. How the hell did you not know what was going on??” Max began to cry, her body shaking.
“I-I should have..I should have...”

Sniffling and crying could be heard in the corner of the shack Max shared with Clementine. Max never really talked about what she went through. All she knew was that she was alive and Warren wasn’t. She knew she was alive and she had to find Mark. She began talking in her sleep, “I should have known.. I should have... Warren I’m so sorry.” Her eyes fluttered open and she heard her own voice. She looked up to see Clementine staring at her. “Sorry, was I doing it again?” Max had a tendency to relive her first day in the apocalypse in her sleep.
