The young prince sits alone on the edge of the desert in the dead of night, solitude from his dear twin becoming more and more frequent as a terrible choice creeps closer and closer. Perched on the end of a sandy rock cliff, Leto reaches out one hand and slowly buries it beneath the tiny golden specks, eyes unblinking as he seems to freeze.
Images rush through his mind, voices, all leading him to one place. Jacurutu. He can see his father standing a few meters away, his familiar voice warning him of what was to come, of the burden he had desperately tried to evade and left to his children.
With his breathes quickening harshly, he hears more and more as faces and places begin to fill his mind. He can hear Ghani, his grandmother, his father and... Erik?
