“What if our little family...grew?” Claire had been feeling off for a week or so and she was a couple of days late. She was too nervous to take a test by herself so maybe this was the best way to broach the subject.

claire was attracted to derek instantly. the fact that he was her boss didn’t change a thing. if anything, it made her want him more. 

it wasn’t until derek admitted that he was unhappy in his marriage that claire even entertained the thought of perusing him. more than that, she made sure it was him making the first move.

she still thinks of herself as a homewrecker despite how often derek tries to make her see that she isn’t. the home was already wrecked but she can’t help but think that if she wasn’t around he and his wife would’ve worked things out. 

when the divorce is finalized, claire feels like she can finally breathe again. it’s like a new start for them and despite how they began, she couldn’t be happier to be a part of his life.
