❀;; -- "Jeremie! William and Odd were just devirtualized. You'd better come up with something quickly or else I'm next! The Tarantulas and Krabes have Aelita and I pinned down. We can't even move without us getting blasted! She can't get to the tower and the barrier she made isn't going to last much longer. If we want to get that tower deactivated and fix whatever is wrong with my code we need a miracle!"
Around the girls, Yumi saw the rock wall splinter and shatter. The girl winced as if she had been hit by the pieces. The monsters weren't going to waste any time in approaching the two girls pinned down - both Yumi and Aelita knew that.
"Too late!" Aelita gasped behind her. Yumi cursed under her breath in her native tongue as she pushed Aelita back behind a rock wall of the Mountain Sector. A blast caught her square in the chest and the girl yelped in pain as she collapsed to the ground.
"Yumi!!" came Aelita's panicked shout.
"Yumi you just lost another 20 lifepoints! If you get devirtualized, I'm not sure you'll come back to earth!" Jeremie's voice exclaimed across the mountainous landscape reflecting the panic he obviously felt.
"Yeah thanks," Yumi groaned in pain as she scrambled quickly to her feet, only able to do so thanks to Aelita's help. "Damn, I forgot how much that can hurt."
"Stay here," Aelita said to her. "I think I may be able to create a diversion."
"Don't you dare Aelita! We need you to deactivate the tower to stop whatever is happening to Ulrich."
"Yumi's right," Jeremie agreed. "You need to get to that tower. Otherwise we're all in trouble."
"Then what do you suggest we do Jeremie?!" Aelita's exasperated voice called back to the voice. "Because at this rate we're going to lose Yumi!"
"Well I do have one idea..." Jeremie mused.
"Anything, what is it?"
There was no answer and Yumi panicked briefly. What the girls couldn't see was Jeremie's fingers flying over the keyboard, dialing a number. Instead the phone rang but they could hear Jeremie's voice echoing across the landscape even though he wasn't speaking to them.
"Ed, it's Jeremie. You think you can make it to the factory? Yumi and Aelita are in trouble, they can't get through to the tower. Yumi's almost lost all her lifepoints and with her bugged code I'm not sure she'd come back to earth if she were to get devirtualized. And, what's more, no one else can go to Lyoko to help. Are you ready to take the jump?"
