"I’ll never forgive you."

Her words broke her heart.  She knew that Caroline didn’t remember her.  She had figured that out pretty quickly once she was undaggered.  Nik had made sure they were apart forever this time.  She had lost to her brother, yet again.  This time, she was done fighting.

She sighed, blinking back tears that threatened to fall.  As she looked back at her, she fought to find her words again.  “You used to know.  You used to love me.  And you chose him over me.  Everyone chooses him over me!”

Caroline wasn't sure how to deal with the other blonde girl. She was obviously emotional over something, but Caroline didn't have any idea what it was. She'd never met her before in her life. Or at least she didn't remember ever meeting her. 

And she was pretty sure that she would remember. There was something about the other blonde that drew Caroline in. She just wanted to give her a hug or something and tell her not to cry, but that wasn't the sort of thing one did with strangers. "I'm sorry." Caroline shook her head. "I don't think we've met. I think I would remember meeting someone like you since you're Nik's sister and all."

{Forgotten Verse}: A drunk Bekah stumbles into the living room. "I should hate you for choosing him..... but I can't."

"I don't know what you're talking about Rebekah." Caroline suppressed a sigh as she looked over at the other blonde. "You're confusing me with your ex again."

She groaned at the familiar voice.  The voice that belonged to the woman she had loved.  That had loved her in return once.  Until it was all taken away from her by her brother, in an effort to keep her and Caroline apart.  Seems like it worked well for him this time.  He had managed to keep them apart, for a lot of years.  105, from what she could tell by the news streams, as she discovered they were called.

The year was 2118 now.  They were still in New Orleans, but things had changed drastically.  She was still learning how much at this point.  As she finally turned back to face her, her heart sunk catching a glimpse of the woman she had loved.  “I’m still getting used to the changes that have happened since I was gone.”

"Is it very different?" Caroline asked with a smile. She couldn't quite imagine going to sleep in one century and waking up in the next. "Nik and I have been here for a while." Almost as long as they'd been together in fact. "I know some things have changed, but it happened so gradually I can't remember most of it." She hoped that the other blonde was adjusting well. She seemed nice enough, familiar almost even though they had never met. Or at least not that Caroline could remember, and she was sure that she would have remembered meeting Nik's sister if she ever had. "I could take you around the city if you like? Give you a tour or something."
