With everything that had happened recently, it only made sense that Tsubomi Kido would have a lot on her mind. The death of her sister, while it had been a few months ago, was still fresh in her mind. With the way things were now... Would she be happy with them? Would she be proud of how Kido was trying as hard as she could to take care of Kousuke and Shuuya? ... She had no idea.
What she did know, however, was that she was trying her best to be a good big sister. ... She knew there was no way she could be anything like her, but...
Shaking her head, she quickly dismissed those thoughts as she let the door shut behind her. At this point, it would be better not to think about what had happened in the past, right? ... Nonetheless, as she allowed the door to close behind her, Kido also allowed her eyes to turn red. ... That was another thing that had happened recently. She had learned how too control her power so much better- ... So had Kousuke and Shuuya.
Nonetheless, as she allowed her eyes to turn red, she pulled the hood of her jacket up, as well. A habit that she had developed over the years, since that what the hoodie was originally for, anyways- Nonetheless, Kido finally decided that it was about time she actually started walking.
That was what she left the apartment in the first place, at least. A late night walk with some fresh air would, most certainly, be enough to clear her mind of what had been bothering her recently. ... Right? ... True, it wouldn’t stop her from thinking about it entirely, but... It was a good start. Plus, it gave her a chance to take a break from everything with her siblings. As much as she cared about them... She needed time to herself sometimes. Thus, with her power activated and her hood up... She began walking down one of the streets that was relatively close to the apartment that she and her siblings now called home.
For the most part, it was surprisingly quiet. While the sound of cars and people could be heard off in the distance... This part of the city was relatively quiet at night. Or, at least, it had been until Kido heard the sound of footsteps close by. ... Someone else out on a late night stroll? Who knew. With the fact that no one could notice her... She decided that it wouldn’t hurt for her to investigate who it was. It wasn’t like she would be in any danger, or be forced to talk to someone if she did, right?
Turning in the direction that she had heard the steps come from, she allowed her eyes to adjust a bit more to the darkness of the alley that she had been passing. Inside, she was easily able to make out a relatively small figure-- ... Perhaps of someone even younger than her. At first, she wouldn’t have paid the scene any attention... If it weren’t for the fact that she could, very faintly, smell the scent of blood.
It took her a few moments to gain her composure to be able to remain calm-- And, as she did so, she allowed her eyes to fade back to their normal, dark gray color. Now visible, she decided that she would speak up-- Though she didn’t dare step into the alley quite yet.
“... Are you alright?” Despite the nervousness in her voice, she was at least able to speak loud enough that it would, hopefully, carry itself so that the other figure could hear her.
