[ leaves a flyer for a puppy adoption weekend on their nightstand before he leaves for work ; by god he caved ]
Liv woke to the sound of the baby monitor and rolled over, glad she wasn’t screaming, at least. The squeals coming through the speaker made her smile and she sat up, figuring Alex was hungry for breakfast. The bright orange flyer on the nightstand caught her attention immediately. She grinned as she read over it, pulling her bottom lip between her teeth. Alex’s cries had started to reach a higher pitch, and Liv set the flier back on the nightstand and climbed out of bed, hurrying down the hall into the little girl’s room.
“Come on, baby girl, you’re fine.” she grinned as Alex reached for her. “Hi, sweet girl. Come on, let’s go get some breakfast.” she still couldn’t believe Alexandra was almost a year old; seemed like just yesterday they were still painting the nursery, Bobby grumbling about the shade of purple but not able to hide his proud smile as he helped paint.
