just go with it.

“Okay...but don’t you think I look - I dunno, is it too much?” Harry was already wary of this whole makeover thing. He had no idea what the word “cool” even meant completely, let alone how to look it. His studies had always been the most important thing to him and the closest thing he ever had to a date was his computer late at night. Ahem. Anyway. His friends had managed to convince him to take up a dare - one night at a club, letting go completely of his fears and inhibitions just to let himself actually live for once. It was a valid concern from the few friends he did have. And Harry had to admit, always being the smart and driven one got a bit lonely sometimes. But he had no idea how to have a social life.
The club didn’t help to calm his nerves either since he was getting a lot more attention than expected. He had hoped to have a few drinks by himself and observe long enough to say that yes, he had been there and done it. Was his makeover really that good? “Ehm - ‘m good, thanks. I can’t dance to save my life.” Harry tried to tell the stranger hanging over him smelling of stale cigarettes and beer, having absolutely no interest in dancing with this bloke.
