Announcement

The Fairytales from the SMP collab is reopening artist applications… to include even more artists!! Instead of duos of one artist and one writer, for each fairytale, we will now be putting together trios, consisting of two artists and one writer.

If you or someone you know are interested in joining, please read the collab rules and info here! All applications are made through DMs to this blog.

Additionally, the timeline for the collab has been pushed back two weeks. Artist assignments will now take place in mid-April. The deadline has been moved to July 28-August 3, 2024.

Update

Hello, everyone!! All writers have been assigned a fairytale and should now be in the process of finalizing their fic premises. Applications for artists will be closing March 15. Shortly after that will be artist assignments!

The fairytales to be featured in this year’s collection are:

The Golden Touch of King Midas

Pinocchio

Little Red Riding Hood

Robin Hood

The Princess and the Pea

Rapunzel

The Prince and the Pauper

Jack and the Beanstalk

The Unwilling Mermaid

There are still available spaces for artists, as well as beta readers, backup writers, and backup artists. The collab rules and basic info can be found here. If you are interested in joining, please apply as soon as possible!

Posting week is almost here, we are just two days out!! From July 28, 2024-August 3, 2024, all Fairytales from the SMP fics and artwork will be published/posted throughout the week. To all fairytale groups, please be sure to coordinate with all your group members so that you are aware of when you want to post your works. Writers, please see the discord for the name of the collection to post to on ao3!

On Sunday (July 28), there will be an announcement post made with a link to the collection on ao3! Throughout the week, all writers’ and artists’ works will be reblogged here, so please be sure to @ this blog and use the tag #fairytales from the smp!

Today is the FINAL DAY for artist applications! We have 6 spots available. If you are interested in joining, please dm this blog!

Writers should have their fic premises ready by tomorrow. The artist assignment process will begin April 15-17.
