rewatching that one bad things video and man.....its really not that good in hindsight lol 😭

to no fault of the creator of course, its hard having to condense and analyze a two hour game at minimum in about an hour, but GOD its ABYSMALLY PAINFUL just how much context and story is simply shadowed or ignored.

for a game with so much depth and nuance and personal perception, just watching a video does not do it justice for the level of atmosphere and tension it presents. its dreadful. its disgusting. its vile. i NEED people to feel that way when understanding the story because its a crucial aspect to the plot. its a psychological HORROR for a reason. i mean it when i say if people really, TRULY, want to understand the story then they have to PLAY the game for themselves and take in everything that is shown or implied

the video excels as a recap if people dont wanna bother having to play the game again to refresh their memory (fair enough its long), but its difficult to digest as a first time viewer even with the info whittled into the bare minimum

i crave for a bad things analysis video thats like 3 hours long and covers all the scenes in depth with said scene's respective topic of interest. especially ESPECIALLY the relationship between ivan, his mental illnesses, fear, and andrew ouaag please i need this

One of my fav batfamily things is the concept of 'library time' that was briefly mentioned in some DC thing I watched/listened to a few years ago. Like, all of Gotham's biggest rogues have gimmicks. You have to be well versed with riddles, dolls, plants, music, birds and fables- all this completely random shit IN ADDITION to anything political or geographical about Gotham (corrupt members of office, underground cities, etc.). There is no way he isn't making his batbrats read like 3 hours a night??? I low-key headcanon that Jason Todd had some ADHD + dislexyia and the reason he's big into classic lit/reading ig now is because it's no longer hard to focus and read after being dunked in the Lazarus pit.
