While her usual demeanor was kind and caring, especially after being employed to be Niari’s retainer, there was still a darkness hidden deep down. This side of Nix rarely surfaced during all her years of service but seeing the prince in such an injured state dragged it out into the light. Rage gathered in her chest, keeping it mostly under control while she tended to Niari. His permission was appreciated, especially when it was likely she was going to retaliate against the attackers anyway. Though the wish to watch was a bit unexpected but not surprising. The Magician didn’t wish to have him out of her sight to begin with but did need to place him somewhere safe. 

“Of course, Niari.. Just stay put until I come to get you myself alright? I have food and drinks in here for you. Also some bandages if you think you can manage those on your own.” The silverette gently patted the prince on the head before placing her bag into his hands. Nix always carried Niari’s favorite snacks with her for when he would suddenly get hungry. Luckily she also had supplies for situations like this as well, a shame they actually had to be used since she always tried to keep him safe. For now, providing a safe place was the best she could do for him until the ‘problem’ was dealt with. With a simply movement of her hand upon the earth, rock rose from beneath Niari to place him high in the air and creating a sort of half dome to provide some shelter. 

Now with the prince in a safe, solid structure Nix could focus on the enemies. The rage inside her then spread through her veins like fire, reminding her of the old days of war. It had been a long time since she felt this way and hopefully it would be the last for a while. A sharp, cold glare was directed at those before her as she took a few steps towards them. “Which one of you wants to die first or are you both going to come at me together..? It matters not to me for I won’t allow a single soul to harm the prince and go unpunished. Now.. Hurry and come meet whatever god it is you pray to!”

❝ you put your arm around me and i literally felt my knees buckle, this is so pathetic. ❞ -- Rin! Cause they hate themselves a lot and also need love.~

“Rin, it’s not pathetic at all..” Nix had helped Rin over to the couch after their near collapse. It was true that they were deprived of such affection and had mentioned self loathing in the past, but that wasn’t going to stop her. Rin deserved to be loved and would be reminded of that daily. The silverette placed a kiss on their cheek and moved closer to them. “You’re still adjusting to things, it’s understandable. Just know that I’m not going anywhere okay? I’ll always be by your side, Rin.”

❝ i never want to let go. ❞

“And I don’t want you to let go either, Adam..” Nix answered, resting against her beloved as he held her in an embrace. She always felt safe in his arms, this time was no different. It was as if nothing in the world could harm her because he was there with her, always by her side. “I might fall asleep though if I don’t get up and move though.”

“As do I, Myalis.. How could I ever forget?” It was the first date they were able to go on after she returned from the war. Nix was staying with Myalis, her lifelong friend, until she got back on her feet since she wasn’t in a good state of mind at first. Things were going smoothly until a group of men set off some fireworks, making her fall into a terrible flashback. Though that was when Myalis kissed her, bringing her back into reality. “That’s when I knew I loved you and could trust you with all my heart. It was the first time I felt.. safe in a long time and I wanted to be nowhere else but here with you. It’s still that way, Myalis.”

“ i remember our first kiss. ”

“I remember it too, Adam.. I was so nervous and I could tell you were too.” Nix couldn’t help but laugh a little at the memory. It was after one of their dates together and were about to say goodbye for the night. The kiss Adam gave her was soft and gentle, showing just how shy he was at the time. Though she was no better with the one given in return. “Though we did end up kissing for a while that night.. At least longer than planned. I remember it being hard to have to see you off that night.. At least now we live together so we don’t have to be apart.”

A giant of a man would enter Nix's store, 7 feet tall and with long, vibrant hair trailing behind him. After browsing the store briefly, he finally approached the counter. "Do you have any... spare sacks? I believe I must buy... a large amount of food."

The shop Nix ran always attracted a wide variety of people, so the tall man didn’t seem odd to her in the least. Though the vibrant colored mane on his head did draw her eyes for a moment. The renovations to make everything bigger for space was paying off already, at least so far no one seemed cramped. “Spare sacks? I have quite a few. How many do you need, Sir?”

"Mama?"//"Mommy!" Two tiny heads of hair, one silver and one black, peek through the crack in the door. Once it's been determined that she's alone, the two second graders rush in, Solaria's hands behind her back. Over the months leading to today, the two studied their magic hard and now? There's a box with a black rose pendant -- a literal good luck charm -- on a silver chain, enchanted to give the wearer good dreams. "Happy birthday!"

Nix turned to look at her children, a warm smile coming to her face as she saw the box presented to her. This was the best way to start her day and she had a feeling it would only get better. So she knelt down to accept the present and give her twins a hug in return. She opened the box, seeing the pendant they made just for her. “This looks lovely! Did you two work on it all by yourselves?” It was likely that Myalis watched over them in making the final product since they were still young. She put the necklace on right away before giving her children a kiss on the head. “I love it, Solaria, Solaris. I’ll wear it all the time!”

‘  i should have burned the place down when i had the chance.  ’ -- Dante no!

“Oh calm down, Dante. They’re just children and they didn’t know not to splash water at you.” Nix tried to keep Dante calm as she gathered the water that had landed on him, tossing it into the bucket nearby. It certainly helped to have magic at her disposal since all she had to do was run her hand through his hair to gather what was left. “See? All the water is gone now so no reason to still be upset. How about I start a nice fire for you to warm up by?”
