She's going to save him She's got to -- she's got to -- she's got to -- { how many loops has it been? gods, she's lost count. } She begins running towards the spot before he flies over her head { missing the chance to shout 'take 'em down, babe!' as she had the first second third time } and while his dragon beats her speed she gets there just in time. His name explodes from her lips and she runs at his form, knocking him over and sending the both of them tumbling away from the ice that has killed him every time -- every time -- { how many times can you watch the person you love d i e before something inside of you shatters? } "Astrid," he gasps. "Thanks." She replies with a hysterical little giggle. She's finally done it. She's finally saved him. She's finally free she's finally free they're all finally free! The two are standing on shaky legs when Drago lets loose an enraged scream, and her head turns just in time to see that he's gotten his spear back once more and is running at her as though to -- Her eyes screw shut but fly open when she feels her body being pushed aside -- Hiccup shouting her name -- as she is pushed roughly down. Her vision settles first upon the ground, and then upon the blood that drips slowly to it.
