The mission, track down and extract a deviant YK500. Hank had sent him alone due to a ‘conflict of interest’ and so Connor was left to follow the clues collected by the DPD.

It didn’t take long and soon he was approaching the building he knew she was in. Unfortunately, while it was easy to find, it was large and tracking her down from this point would be difficult.

Choosing to work systematically, Connor knocked on every door on every floor working his way slowly but surely up the building.

“YK500 that goes by the name Kora Wilson. This is the Detroit Police. Open the door!”

Getting shot in the head was inconvenient although it was quite impressive how Lieutenant Anderson had managed to figure out which Connor was the one he was used to. No matter, he could simply transfer to another model and try again. At least now he knew where Connor would be.

If only the transfer could speed up. Each percentage point took about half a minute which was understandable when downloading as much data as he was trying to but still, it was taking too long. At this rate it would be nearly an hour before he could leave and there was no telling what kind of damage would be done in that time.

He blinked his eyes open and looked around. The room was empty apart from a few RK800 shells ready to be programmed, he brushed down his clothes and straightened his tie before leaving the room, heading towards the elevator to take him back down to the basement.

He looked out through the glass walls, seeing the androids outside and deciding that was the best direction to go.

Finally he got outside and scanned the area, looking desperately for Connor.

The original Connor had failed. He had chosen deviancy and was going against Cyberlife. That’s where Connor-60 came in. He had been ordered by Cyberlife to track down and stop the original Connor as soon as possible using whatever method he deemed suitable.

The thought crossed his mind to use Hank, appeal to him and take him with him but then another candidate came to mind. Gavin.

If he could get the detective to join him he knew there was no love lost between him and the android.

He arrived at the precinct, straightening his tie before making his way to Gavin’s desk.

“Detective Reed. I require your assistance.”
