Young Croix had been reading in the library when she heard Chariot approach, which was impossible not to do seeing as how her presence was impossible to ignore. She noticed her peach sash peeking at her from beyond the edges of her book and Croix adjusted her glasses while she continued to read. "Can I help you?" She asked, not taking her eyes off the page. Croix had tried to keep her reputation as the school prodigy as much as possible in public, despite her feelings for Chariot.
Chariot leaned forward eagerly on the library table, placing her weight on her hands. “Croix, you’re still studying?”
She briefly peeked over the edge of the girl’s book, as if any of the complex runes and diagrams would be intelligible upside down. Then she leaned back off the table, before lunging forward and slamming the book shut with her hands.
“C’mon, it’s the weekend, let’s go have so some fun!” Chariot said, pulling the book away from her out of reach. “I also wanted to show you an amazing charm I just learned!”
