Voice Acting Auditions!

Hello everyone, today I'm here to announce that we are opening voice acting auditions for two main female characters who will appear in the demo of the game! More info about them below!
If you're interested in volunteering for the positions, send an e-mail to [email protected] with the subject [Character] Voice Acting.
Don't feel bad if you get no answer, there will be more auditions in the future for other characters! (Including male voices, the cast isn't all ladies! ahaha
You will be fully credited for your participation as a voice actor in the game, unless you specify you’d like to stay anonymous. In that case do let us know!
The voice acting in Marinette is made out of small sounds like gasps, laughs and other vocal expressions. We're not strict in how many of which type of sound, but creativity and variety are appreciated! If there are any other sound that we need specifically, we'll let you know!
In your audio, besides these small sounds, feel free to include the sentence stated in the character info section!
As a minimum requirement, we would appreciate that there isn't much background sound. Even if you don't have a very good microphone, programs like audacity (free!) can do the trick on giving a better quality to the audio!
Please be polite and send all the audio in a single file. (Formats can be MP3, OGG or WAV)
Also! Tell us your favourite type of doll or toy, just for fun!
Now, without further ado, let's talk about the characters.
The first one is...Marinette's mother!
[Maria]
I posted her design last year, however she recently got a redesign, and I'm finally happy with it, as it fits her much better.
"You need to be more careful, I can't believe it, you could've gotten seriously hurt! You never listen to me, do you?"
Her voice is firm and strong, just like that of a strict mother, or a powerful lady of royalty.
She could be compared to a noble queen, at times. And not a stable one, as her mood swings are prominent, putting on a cold facade more often that she would like.
She's clear and full of confidence, a perfectionist! But her laughs are soft and caring for those she loves the most.
Finally, her voice is not the most high-pitched one, standing in the middle of the range, more towards the lower side.

"It isn’t fair, is it? The world isn’t fair at all...As soon as you realise, they’ll be all over you... cursed, stinging, burning...”
???'s voice is scratchy/raspy/dry most of the time. Almost as if she has a hard time talking. She used to have a really soft voice...but not anymore.
She is very quiet and gives off a very mysterious, intimidating and unsettling aura.
Middle range is prefferable, altough we'll be open for more experimentation with this character.
Also, the voice actor that ends up with this character will be able to see her name and looks before the release! So shhh, it'll be our secret!
We are looking forward to hear how these gorgeous ladies will sound in the game! Most importantly, we want you to have fun!

2 new characters have been introduced, and we need VA’s for them!
There are NO full lines! There are only sounds (ex. laughs, sighs, coughs, etc... think Dream Daddy!)
EDIT: The character vibes I’ve listed do not influence the tone of voice! You don’t have to have a deep voice to audition. Sorry abt not making that clear (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)
CHARACTER 1 - Naël
Naël is a very suave, elegant character. He's a bit conceited and loves to perform. He is very relaxed and nonchalant.
Character vibes: - Hisoka (HxH)(just without all the creepy vibes) - Mettaton (Undertale) - Sebastian Michaelis (Black Butler)
If you have a voice reel/examples of your voice acting feel free to send them in. But if not, here are some lines from Naël.
(amused)“How endearing... You're in awe at my presence.”
(curious) “What are you doing up darling..?
(grimly) “She likes to play this little game, darling; and she’s insistent that you play along...”
(disappointed/annoyed) “...Hm...I suppose I'll have to take you there myself, won't I..?
(amused) “[Laughs] How wonderful! You’re absolutely speechless.”
He is male, so I am primarily looking for male VA’s. He has a preferably high to mid range, somewhat “sensual” voice. Quite slow spoken.
CHARACTER 2 - ??? (Creepy mystery girl?)
I can't tell you much in this post, but here is some info... She is the main antagonist of the game. She's reserved and very "ladylike" for lack of a better word. (Except for the occasional... weird outbreak).
Same situation as Naël. Here are some lines! (Reminder that she’s a very creepy character)
(stern) “I have put everything into my cause. I have devoted my life, my being into her fate. You will not take that away from me...”
“It is finally time for this story to come to a swift and unfortunate end...”
(nonchalant)“It doesn’t require your concern...”
“(laughing) You have no idea how wonderful this feels... (quiet)After waiting for so long...So very long. ”
She is female, so I am primarily looking for female VA’s. She has a preferably mid to low voice.

LOOKING FOR VAs
I’m looking for 2 voice actors willing to voice a few lines for an animation reel that will include my two characters in a very small short!:
The scene is Redwing (cocky legendary hero, 19-20 years old) and Keelio (promising engineer with a golden heart, 21-22 years old) talking about their adventures as they spend the night in a forest, finally safe from harm (for now!)
Right now all I can pay you is $25 for your time and collaboration with each other (as you might not know the other VA), publicity (as this is a webcomic, physically published series, and currently marketed), full credit, and a guaranteed spot as the official VA in any further projects of this series!
PM me a link to some experiences you have recording, and who you’d like to be! If you’d like, I can send the script for you to read a few lines from, there won’t be any biases for whether or not you say lines from the script or if you’d rather send something else!
The purpose of this project is to get my animation skills back on track, promote my comic series, and help an aspiring voice actor! :D This project won’t be finished immediately (as I have an abundance of work to do) and the script is the basis on which I’ll be initially starting from, but I’d like to get it started nonetheless!

Cadeau is in need of proper CG’s, character busts, and sprites! With an artist, this will be possible-- and we’ll be able to get rid of the ugly placeholders and fill them with beautiful artwork provided by you!
If you are an artist that can draw characters in an anime/manga-esque style, (think Sailor Moon or Yuri On Ice), and/or can draw environments and objects-- then please come forward!
I am versatile regarding style, high or low detail-- minimal or lots of shading-- however thick lines are not exactly ideal. If you aren’t sure, then please send me a message! I would absolutely love to see your work.
Shown by this cool kid awkwardly grasping a violin-- musicians need to come forward!
Cadeau is sounding a bit dull without a proper soundtrack! A musician will fill Cadeau with riveting songs that will raise emotion where it’s needed most, and leave us all with beautiful sounds to listen to even after we finish the game!
You will be asked for about 3 10-12 second loops, and perhaps 3-5 full songs.
If you can produce classical/fairytale like music, (for example: Kevin Macleod’s Fairytale Waltz) then please step forward!
Cadeau has a range of characters that need voices of their own! I am looking for little sounds, like laughter and gasps that will give our cast some extra life.
I am looking for 2 childish “feminine” Medium-toned and higher-toned.
& 1 childish “boyish” voice. Higher-toned.
