A horse just passed from aggressive rabies in Thatcher, AZ, and they couldn't euth it because it tried to attack anyone who came near, so it died in agony - they also couldn't shoot it to put it out of its misery because brain tissue has to be preserved for analysis by the state, and potential blood/brain matter spray from that method of death creates a rabies vector biohazard that can infect anyone or anything it comes in contact with.
PLEASE make sure any animals you have that can have a rabies vaccine get it. It's a fairly inexpensive vaccine, and the peace of mind and protection it provides is worth it.
Putting more description and the video of the horse under a readmore, all the content warnings, this video is truly horrifying, but I feel it is important for media evidence of what rabies can do to be out there for better information.

We were unable to get close to it in order to put it to sleep. Imagine the zombie apocalypse when the zombie is supposed to be dead and then jumps up and tries to chase the human with half its body gone.
The horse presented after fighting with another horse over the corral fence, that horse was euthanized today by the office of the Arizona State Veterinarian due to significant exposure to rabies and not having ever been vaccinated. The horse destroyed a mesquite tree by trying to rip it apart with its mouth and the owner was somehow able to get it into the trailer without being injured and bring it to the clinic.
When it arrived it was mouth chomping and self mutilating its front leg. It went down and it trashed and it would try to attack you if you went into the trailer.

He thought he could keep raw dogging his dysphoria but he clearly needs to start HRT and transitioning. Thank you I did pay my healthcare!!! I was hoping with the extra I could get my meds but we ended up using it for food and taking my MiL to the hospital because of gastrointestinal pain, she had to stay under supervision for a whole night and is scheduled for more tests on Tuesday. We’re pushing her healthcare services to schedule her for a gastroenterologist as soon as possible, she has been unable to eat which has been a terrible combination with her diabetes. Can we ask for help affording her ensure bottles so she can at least eat that? We’ll need to do something about the humidity and mold soon, we get trapped in the rooms often, last night it took us over an hour to be able to reopen a door even with both my partner and me pushing. We need to get adult diapers btw. Please, anything helps!!!!
You know, it’s real nice that we got help to pay the vet bills and help my kid keep his cat safe and healthy but wow. It is obvious we do not matter at all. The moment our cat needed help we got the goals, both times But I’ve been trying to get my meds for weeks or months at a time and nothing. It’s real hard not to fucking cry
I know it’s hard for everyone but please, keep sharing, anything ANYTHING helps. We’ve been getting a bit of food and paying little by little what we owe at the corner store but the upcoming card payment is $190 and my meds are $130 and then let’s not forget my healthcare renewal. I also bring bad news, we’re starting with water shortages just like last year, we’ve gone from having 4 days of water a week to 1-2 if we’re lucky. Our only toilet is busted and there are 9 people here who use it. My kid still needs attention for a UTI he’s had for a couple of months now. And my partner has 3 ingrown nails and 2 big cuts on his feet he’s kept unattended for weeks. I’d hate to up the goal but we need every help we can get!!

Went back on my blog to find proof of the fire where my in-laws lost everything, this other one with pictures and proof that I’ve been sick and struggling to get my medication since August 2023. So if one nation is plunging into a dystopia, gutting it’s own scientific credentials and spouting unfounded opinions like a crazy drunk uncle (the one everybody hates) at a family gathering, take some comfort in that at least other nations are not complying with the crazy, and many of them will still have all of their scientifically backed information available online.
Acetaminophen is called paracetamol in Australia, and we’re still quite happily popping it in pregnancy, within the recommended daily limits.
Vaccines are great actually! They reduce both your risk of disease and the severity of disease! And considering Australia has a type of socialised healthcare system (Medicare) that means if an Australian citizen gets sick, the government ends up paying for most of that medical care, and all of the care in hospital. So it’s in the interest of the government to make recommendations that will keep people out of hospital as much as possible.
So maybe if you are in a country where you would have to pay for your own hospitalisation, or that of your children, you would prefer to take vaccine advice from one that has a motive to keep its citizens out of hospital. Though keep in mind other countries may have other endemic diseases.

Thing is, I used to refuse the flu shot. I would get angry whenever someone mentioned it. My grandmother took it once and she felt sick, so obviously it was evil.
Besides, the flu wasn’t that bad! It’s not like anyone ever died from it or anything. 🙃
When covid happened and I started actually listening to immunocompromised people, I realized how bad I had been all those years before. I realized that even if the flu wasn’t a big deal to me, it was a big deal for them. And I just couldn’t live with myself if I caused someone else to die.
So I have masked since covid, and I will keep masking. Will you?
