Just added this paper roll feature to the print bed. Took 10 mins to add using 4 eyelet screws and some nylon cord. This low quality paper will be used for test printing and fixing any print issues, such as ink bleeding. This allows me to quickly roll off what I need and cut across. Finally finished drilling the grid. Was satisfying to peel the protective layer off and reveal the shiny aluminium. It won't stay like that for long though as I will be sanding the whole thing down to get rid of any roughness the drilling has created and it will end up a matte finish. Final grid measures 26"X30". Just finished the silk screen black out cabinet to store my freshly coated screens. Took this pic while the top and one of the sides were still down to get a better look inside. This will hold 6 screens in total to dry. The screen you can see there is 20"x24" but this is capable of holding anything up to 25"x36". Nice little cavity at the base too to store paper. The unit is on castor wheels and I've designed it so it fits nicely under the vac table as space is a bit of an issue (but manageable!). To finish this off I will add black out material to the front with velcro. I have attached the vacuum chamber to some sexy hairpin table legs and layed the support strips (unfixed for now) in the cavity to demonstrate how they will be fixed inside. I still have to drill air flow holes into these and also a hole for the vacuum hose in the centre of the base. Other jobs include finishing off drilling the aluminium top, fixing it to the base and then finally attaching the hinge clamps. I also made a start on the base for my silkscreen drying cupboard seen below the table. This has been designed to sit nicely under the vac table and is on castor wheels to manoeuvre it easily.
