I miss being Vice President. I never thought I would actually miss my high school extracurriculars.
yo soy freakin' pooped guess who forgot sunblock
VAHSA end-of-le-year bonfire was today. I wasn't really looking forward to going because I always end up being the only Irvine kid there and it really shouldn't matter but being the ONLY kid from Irvine when there are other schools who literally show up to events with 80-members strong and tell me "yeah we have so few people out this year" is really depressing.
But hey, next year's officers pulled through and showed up which was really nice :)
Ran around and played volleyball and tag and stuff AND THEN I REMEMBERED I DIDN'T PUT ON SUNBLOCK W H O O P S so I ran back to the canopy and hastily applied lots of the Magic Skin Lotion.....
And I just realized that I forgot to sunblock my face WOW GUESS WHO'S GOING TO BE BRIGHT RED TOMORROW
Anyway the bonfire at the end of the night was really fun, when we ended officially being there under VAHSA and just turned into a bunch of friends getting together at the end of the year sitting around a fire roasting marshmallows and talking singing/screaming/making obscene jokes
Anyway I had a lot more fun than I thought I would KIND OF REALLY SCREWED FOR MATH HOMEWORK THOUGH and I'm really glad I went :)
WOW OKAY NOBODY TOLD ME ANDREW WAS SEAN'S YEAR
I THOUGHT HE WAS MY YEAR
MY ENTIRE LIFE IS A LIE
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORE
VAHSA people are so nice and friendly.
Can I just be with them forever? :< Can I just volunteer at events forever and not do school?
VAHSA CAMP FOREVER?!?
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH tet trung thu :)

VAHSA CAMP 2012
VAHSA CAMP 2012 <3
so im finally posting about camp haha. my mind has not yet fully recovered. but it's stable enough to post something :)
i wanted to start off by saying, it was truly an unforgettable experience. i never expected it to turn out so great. everything was SOOO organized and it all ran so smoothly. i loved how all of the staff were so friendly and accepting. i just loved it all.
Friday
i was stoked, i met a lot of people in the morning and on the first day. we had some terrific keynote speakers and i sorta bonded with my family. i still thought we were all reallie quiet and awkward. but i loved how at night we sang camp fire songs <3 i also saw william at night too ! (: and billy and beverly :D we also got to dance <3 i miss dancing SO SO SO SO much. i really do.... i wish i can start dancing again. seeing terry, arlene, vinny, and julie dance, it was just inspiring. they hit every move so sharp and perfect. it sparked my passion for dancing once again. i never felt SO ALIVE when learning the choreo. i felt free as a bird. free as a butterfly :)
Saturday
where should i start off. so much happened in one day. i dont know how to explain it all. me, christy, cynthia, and theresa woke up at 330am to shower and get ready. i was so hyper :) <3 it felt great to feel so alive. I wanted to say, TCL games were so efficient and effective in bonding, i gotta say, KUDOS TO TCL CREW !! :) the games were so DIFFERENT and like stuff i never would have thought of doing etc. even though the rain made us stay in most of the time, i gotta say that i loved every activity (: aaaaaaah i love how staff were so nice <3 at the final event, most of my family members were too tired to go through the obstacle course so i went for them. i ended up hurting myself a lot :( [picture down below] but yu know what, it was al worth it.
it taught me, NO PAIN NO GAIN !!!!!!! we ended up getting all of our puzzle pieces first :) ! yay us !! i felt like a masochist by hurting myself so much T_T ! WHAT HAVE I BECOME !! LOL. but w/e i guess. i had fun getting hurt. ok that just sounds bad =.= after that we showered and had dinner. for dinner, i felt reallie left out sortas :( cus i couldnt eat dinner :/ i was allergic to the food >_< !!! so i just ate an apple and watermelon :) i cleaned up tables and helped others get food ! so i felt happy hehe (:
after this, we did skits and such. it was realie fun !! my family bonded SOOOOOO WELLLL <3 im so grateful ;D !! we did a kdrama type of skit :) i loved it x3 ! TAHTS MY KIND OF SKIT ;D !! LOL. then we did crossing the line activity. ill write a separate post on this since its gonna be long >_> after this, we ate chicken noodle soup and i stayed up til 5am writing letters to all of staff LOL <3!
Sunday
Two days had flew by so fast. i felt like it wasnt just enough. i was upset that i needed to go back home and face reality again.... all that stress. all those responsibilities. but i guess i just had to. we had breakfast (INSTANT RAMEN <3 NOM NOM NOM) awards and slideshow and such. omg ! i was so effin nervous when i was on stage giving the speech about vahsa. i hate how everyone started addressing me by "vahsa pres" or "miss pres" or w/e it was.... i felt like they were singling me out :// idk. i just wanted to be treated as a normal girl i guess. ehh w/e
on the way walking out to the bus, vinny helped me carry my super heavy luggage ! <3 :) i felt so grateful <3 even though him and me didnt even talk that much, he offered to help. i was like AWWS. x3 this is what i mean by staff people being so friendly <3 a lot of staff members such as kristen, chris, and quoc were following up about my wound too :) i felt reallie warm inside when i knew they were caring <3
i truly do not regret going to vahsa camp
all those memories, all those moments. its all stored in my heart. i admit, there were so many bad moments and soo many times where i felt like it was the end of the world, but im so glad that i got to experience it all. i learned that no matter what happens, there will be people there to lend an ear to listen. there will be people there to smile at you and believe in you.
i realized so many people have faith in me. and it truly means a lot when they do <3 through the course of 3 days, i had so much fun. i cant even express my gratitude of how everyone treated me. dancing, singing, laughing, going crazy, all that energy. all of those laughs. all of those smiles. all of those hardships together. everything. it was truly unforgettable. if i woudl live through it again. i would.
Dear vahsa camp, campers and staffers. thank you for everything. i wont ever forget the warmth i felt there. ill never forget all those smiles and laughter. ill never forget all these memories and moments.
Thank You.
