There was a chill in the air as winter fast approached. The building was clearly not hooked up to the heat yet, as it had no occupants, which had Gabe rubbing his hands at times to keep himself warm. The footsteps approaching distracted him as he stopped inspecting the building to turn to Val, who he knew would be the one coming inside. She had hired him to check out the new place for her Yoga studio to ensure no issues.
"So, it looks good," he called out to her, his voice echoing in the empty room. Gabe pulled out a notepad containing scribbled measurements and bullet points about issues. "There are some fixtures and finishing touches I can do to make it more habitable, like fill in some holes and things... anything you want aesthetically, and then a lick of paint - that's it," he said, finally looking up at her to smile. "Should be a week tops. If you can put up with me for that long?" He joked.
