I have to admit, the sole fact that Valkyria Chronicles 2 is set in what is effectively a high school setting is highly disengaging for me personally. As though my interest in the game was a boat and all the lines holding it to the dock are being severed to allow my interest to just kinda, float slowly off.

We managed to have adults in the first game despite it literally being Anime World War II and it worked fine.

And yes, I know why the changes in the series were done.

I wouldn't call it a deal-breaker but it's really fucking hard to even start being interested in this plot, I'm certain it'll get better.
