Me five months ago: My most recent blood work is showing new abnormalities in test results related to my red blood cells. Could this be whats causing some of my newer more severe symptoms, and could the fact that I just started taking Valcyte which can cause bone marrow and blood cell problems be the cause of this?
Doctor: Its unlikely. Everyone has abnormal test results sometimes and you haven't been taking the Valcyte that long.
Doctor five months later: You definitely have some sort of worsening red blood cell abnormality and bone marrow abnormality. This is probably the result of taking the drug Valcyte for a few months.
