Every so often I’ll wander my school’s library and pick up something interesting. Today I picked up “What Happened to You? Writing by Disabled Women” and I definitely plan on finishing this. It’s an anthology of writing by and for disabled women, and so far it’s made me very emotional.

I’ll save my proper review for once I’ve finished, but so far I would recommend this to anyone who wants to further their understanding of disabled people and our personal lives.

I am so fucking sick of being patronized by doctors.

I have a goddamn master’s degree in biological science from a prestigious university.  I was in the 98th percentile on the SAT.  I have lived with my illness for more than 20 of my 40+ years.  I work as a fucking diagnostician.  Stop treating me like a teenager who gets worked up over nothing because they don’t know diddly shit.

update: I'm ok for the moment, and not in the hospital. I am still very sleepy and in pain but I feel like a living human being and not a horrible dream monster
