Voice Actors, Sound Editors and Writers Wanted!

That’s right, VNN is looking for you. 

We are always in search for more people to help out the project. We hope to be able to create more, but our small staff makes that difficult. HOW TO AUDITION IN THE READ MORE!

VOICE ACTORS

Read and record yourself reading. Please give your best reporting voice.

Submit it to you here! (either as the file or on soundcloud).

SOUND EDITORS

We are looking for anyone who can use a basic program to edit all the lines together for our episodes. Please submit a work that you have either done in the past, or edit a conversation together of at least 3 people together.

WRITERS

Please submit a small story, in proper script format, that might appear on VNN. Please listen to any episode for examples. Things we are looking for:

More subtle humor, not memes or in your face humor. 

No major characters from the show itself. (If you add any character from the show we will delete your submission immediately).

An actual story, not just a conversation.

VNN Update

We are proud to say that with our newest writers and voice actors, we have the next episode well on it’s way. Our Director, Demo, is working hard to piece it all together to make the delicate puzzle that is Episode 5. 

However, this isn’t the end of it. We are still looking for more voice actors and writers! We are a small staff and are always ready to accept more! So please check out the audition process, and join the proud team of VNN.

Voice Actors needed! The FNDM needs you!

Interested in contributing your voice talents to a RWBY FNDM community podcast while bringing original characters to life? Here’s how to do it!

First off what is the Vale News Network?

The Vale News Network (VNN) is a RWBY fandom community project designed to add lore to the World of Remnant while lightening up the FNDM with quasi-satirical news and humor that comes in the form of a regularly scheduled podcast.

Voice actors:

Visit the onion.com

Select any two news articles of your choosing (the funnier the better)

Record yourself reading it (Either directly to soundcloud.com or you can choose to run it through an audio program e.g. audacity, garageband) , you can take as many takes as you want

Upload to soundcloud.com (If you haven’t done that already) and send the link to your audition to the VNN submit box—>||HERE||

Tips for Voice Actors:

Try recording using a “news caster” voice

It helps to have a good mic, but a bad one won’t disqualify anyone

Clear pronunciation, if you feel like you have to over enunciate something– do it for the sake of sounding clearer

Above all when reading ANY article– paraphrase. Don’t read directly from the script. It lends to a bad news reading.
