I genuinely need everyone to watch this video RIGHT NOW
Through datamining, Tyler and his team previously have been able to find details regarding a single player FPS game that’s in development at Valve with the code name “HLX” and they had reasons, earlier this year/late last year, to believe that it was going into out-of-company/external bug testing. (Which is notoriously where a lot of valve games either die or completely change/start over, especially around the time where staff take a holiday break and come back w/ fresh eyes)
HOWEVER, if you watch that video, you’ll find that not only did “HLX” make it PAST that external playtesting phase BUT, through skimmed datamining of a recent engine update, they found information that HEAVILY implies that “HLX” is in its FINAL phases of development, like, optimization levels of final phases- or at least nearing that point.
MEANING on top of Deltarune and Silksong, we could POSSIBLE MAYBE get a real actual announcement for Half Life 3 from Valve later this year.
