Pairing: Chris Redfield & Jill Valentine

Summary: chris and jill are on a mission to stop b.o.w.s from escaping a certain town. but they find it a bit harder then they thought it would be. as both of them are trying to escape the monsters that are chasing them, they get stuck in a room, what happens when chris starts to see jill in a different light, will he take a risk?

"chris" jill called out

"CHRIS! HURRY UP!"

jill was waiting outside near the car for chris to get dressed and to bring their equipment

"im coming im coming" chris said in his usual calm voice

"what took you so long?" jill asked

"sorry i was talking to my sister on the phone. oh! here is the new gun that just came in" chris handed jill a desert eagle made just for s.t.a.r.s

"aren't they amazing? it even says s.t.a.r.s on them" chris was very amused by his new gun, and so was jill. jill was stroking it as if it were a baby.

"yes they are really amazing, but we should get going now"

"right"

chris put his gun away and put their equipment into the trunk of the car, jill was already waiting for chris to start driving, but chris forgot to tell captain wesker that they were leaving now.

"jill, i forgot to tell wesker that we are leaving, do you think i should tell him?"

"chris he knows we are going on this mission, if anything he probably thinks we are already there, we probably would have been there if you didnt take so long to get ready, i mean seriously chris i was finished first and im a girl, thats got to say something redfield"

"ahhh calling me by my last name i see, well that means i must have took to long since miss valentine is calling me by my last name" chris said in a mocking tone of voice

"and besides jill, i only took long because i was talking to my sister and getting your equipment as well"

jill sighed because as usual instead of chris just joking with her he has to state the facts and set things straight.

as chris buckled his seat belt and turned on the car he leaned over and  asked jill

"got your seat belt on miss valentine?" as he smirked, jill rolled her eyes

chris laughed and started to drive

as they drove into the town of greentray they noticed that it was just a complete disaster

soon after they stopped the car

"so this is where we leave the car? couldn't we go a bit more further into the town?" jill asked

"come on jill you know we cant, the car will attract the monsters and we dont want that, as of right now wesker told us that the main source of the monsters is inside a house near the forest, it cant be that far away" chris said in a firm voice

they both got out of the car and got their equipment out of the cars trunk, they strapped on their gun holders, their herbs, and ammo.

jill couldn't strap her gun holder, it seemed to be stuck and it was annoying her that at a time like this her gun holder might be broken

chris noticed that jill was having some trouble

"need some help there?" he smiled

"yeah it seems to be stuck but i cant unstuck it" jill said as if she was a 5 year old in need of care

chris looked at it first to make sure it wasn't broke. thank god it wasn't broken chris thought to himself.

he stared at it for a while and noticed it was stuck on jills shirt

"ahh i found the problem, its stuck on your shirt jill"

"well dont tell me just get it off and strap it"

"but..."

chris noticed that if he were to take of the gun holder and strap it on again it would mean he would have to touch jills back and lift her shirt

"jill, if i were to take the gun holder out and strap it back on... you do realize that it is necessary for me to touch you, and i just need to make sure you are okay with it....so is it okay?" chris asked in a uneasy voice

thats so like chris jill thought for him to ask permission to touch me when its just a simple gun holder strap on to my back, its not like his going to touch me in other places, chris is always so careful with everything

"its fine chris"

and with that chris started to take of jills shirt that was stuck on the gun holder, at first it was a bit hard because he didn't want to rip the shirt but at the end he ended up ripping it a little bit, from time to time he would accidentally touch jills back, jill would twitch because his hands where cold, chris would say sorry as he always did and in the end he fixed her gun holder and he strapped it on

"that would be 20 dollars please" chris said with on hand reaching out to jill

"real funny redfield"

chris laughed

"alright i think the way to the house is this way"

chris and jill walked at least 3 miles before they realized that the house was on the right side not the left, both of them blamed the map, they couldnt blame each other because they both took turns looking at it and guiding each other

as they walked a bit further they found the house, it was a creepy looking house it was quite big

"why are all the houses always so creepy looking" chris asked

"i think its because they have been abandoned for so long that they started to get spider webs everywhere and it starts to rot, mice start to live in there, and it is in the middle of a forest, god knows how-"

"okay thanks jill i didnt want a whole essay on why its creepy"

jill gave chris a death look but chris just laughed and soon after jill smiled

"you are so ugh redfield"

"im so ugh?" chris laughed even harder

jill rolled her eyes

as chris and jill both approached the front door chris kindly said

"ladies first"

"no no i insist you first" jill said in a mocking way

"come on jill let me play the nice guy for once" chris said with a smile

jill always hated when he did that, he would smile and jill would give in, because if jill had to be honest with herself she always loved when chris smiled. and if she thought about it chris smiled mostly around her which made her feel happy.

as they searched the house, they were on there toes at all times, having small talk from time to time but keeping it a whisper level. at some points some monsters would pop up and they would kill them on the spot.

as chris walked a bit faster and jill was right behind him, he noticed a door, but not just any door it was a steel door, which made chris curios as to what was inside

"its locked" chris said

"of course it is, why cant things be easy sometimes"

"we have to find the key maybe inside is the virus that has been leaking"

chris and jill went looking for the key

"damn it i really hate these monsters, why cant they be giant butterflys, that would make it at least a bit better" chris said as he finished stabbing the monster on the floor

"well chris life isn't fair is it?"

"yeah..." chris said as he remembered his parents deaths and how he had to go off to the air force and raise his sister all my himself

"life isn't fair"

jill noticed that chris had a sad expression on his face and then she remembered why he would have that face on him, jill cursed herself out for bring up such a thing

"oh god im sorry chris i forgot that-" jill was cut off by chris saying

"its fine jill and to think about it, life has been a bit fair for me, it gave me a great partner" chris said smiling

jill couldn't help but blush

chris got closer to her

"are you okay? you're red, do you need some water?" chris asked very worried

you are so stupid redfield jill thought to herself

"no im fine dont worry"

"good, now lets keep going"

chris and jill had finally found the key, it took 4 monsters for them to get the key but in the end chris and jill killed the monsters and took the key.

they went back to the steel door

"wait chris, what if this door wasn't meant to be open? i mean look at it, its made of steel" jill said

"jill, if there is anything i learned its that if there is a door, always open it"

"that is the stupidest thing i ever heard"

"i know, but i also have this feeling that we shouldn't open it, but jill we have to open it whatever is behind this door could be the virus"

chris was right, that door needed to be open

"fine" jill said pointing her gun at the door as chris turned the doorknob

both of them entered, it was really quite. it was really really quite

"is so quite i can hear my heart beat" jill said sodtly

chris was looking for a file maybe a note, anything but he didn't find it. as he walked in a bit further, he saw another door and he prayed to the gods  for the door to be unlocked, and lucky him it was

as chris and jill went inside, the first thing they saw was a tube and inside of it the virus, as chris went to get it he stepped on something, something crunchy.

as he looked down he saw they were bones and then when he looked back up he saw monsters and a bunch of them, at least 100 at the max the first thing that came to mind was "how can so many of them be in such a little room" but after seeing them collide and become one and then separating and becoming a bunch of monsters he understood that this virus was a double virus

he was still trying to get to the virus but he knew if he made a move the monsters would attack him and he would be dead, he wanted to look at jill and tell her to get out but before he knew it jill was moving and trying to get the virus it all happened so fast

chris was shooting at the monsters trying to get jill, jill was running

chris turned around to shot one behind him and when he looked back at jill she was on the floor and monsters where going towards her he didnt see the virus, he thought maybe the monsters dropped it

"JILL!" chris called out as he grabbed jill by the waist and picked her up and ran for the exit

"chris we cant let those things escape and go outside"

"i know i know" chris said as he was thinking of a plan

the monsters were right behind them, they were ugly, with a lot of flesh and no eyes only a nose and a long tail which was very wrinkly

chris thought of something but it was a very bad plan but it might just save them and the outside world

"jill we need to split up"

jill was shocked is he serious right now? even though jill always trusted chris in everything, she thought maybe right now wasn't the best time to split up

"but we aren't dating" jill said trying to understand chris's plan

"haha funny, but listen the two doors over by the kitchen remember? you go close those and i will get the ones behind us after meet in the living room and please be careful"

"okay i got it"

as both of them ran for the door the monsters where getting faster in catching up

chris and jill had already split up they kept in touch with the mics they had on their ears

"jill where are you? im already closing door #2"

"chris im heading for the living room hurry up and meet me there i got 6 monsters behind me and im low on ammo hur-"

"jill? JILL?!? damn it"

chris ran to the living room to find jill and help her

as he got there he saw her fighting of 3 monsters she had already killed 3 other ones, he thought "how amazing" she did it all by herself

"chris? HELLO? EARTH TO CHRIS?!?! A LITTLE HELP"

"oh right right sorry"

chris shot the monsters and jill stopped fighting, but their fighting wasn't over, because more monsters started to come down from the stair case, both chris and jill started to shoot but it was no use jill soon after ran out of ammo and there was just to many for them

chris and jill looked at each other, as if afraid this might be the end but chris knew better then to give up

he quickly looked around trying to find a way out, he looked desperately.

as he turned his head around he saw a little hallway as he thought to myself "please let there be a door not a dead end"

and with that he grabbed jills hand and pulled her to follow him, there was a monster blocking the way so chris punched it and the monster went back a little bit chris and jill jumped over it

chris was so relived when he saw a door, he ran to it, still holding jills hand

as chris went to open the door, it wouldn't open

"shit!" he said

jill was looking behind her and see saw the shadows of the monsters

"chris, the monsters their right behind us"

chris was desperate, why wouldn't the door open, its unlocked, so he figured it was just stuck, as jill was saying "chris chris HURRY"

chris kept pushing the door, with one last push he put all his force and body onto the door, the door opened but just a little bit. enough for chris and jill to go in

"get in jill" chris said as he saw the monsters coming

jill went inside, as jill waited for chris to come in, no one came in, jill started to panic

"CHRIS!" she yelled out

there was no respond

jill needed to see what happened as she was about to go out and see where chris was, chris bust threw the door. he closed the door as fast as he could

"CHRIS!" jill said with a bit of teary eyes

"jill whats wrong? you're crying, did you get hurt?" chris said grabbing jills face

"idiot, i thought you died, you took to long to come inside"

"you thought i died? ouch jill are you saying you think a few little monsters would take me down? are you saying im not a good solider?" chris said with a smile

"shut up you know what i mean"

chris laughed

"ahhh look this is what was blocking the door"

it was a desk, it was kinda big. chris looked around the room, to his surprise the windows were already covered up so the monsters couldn't get in, there was some water and some snacks and a chair, and a sofa, and a very nice carpet

"well i think as of right now we are safe in here, the windows are covered the door as well, and we have water and some food, and a nice carpet" chris said smirking as he said carpet

jill rolled her eyes but she wouldn't mind sleeping on the carpet next to chris, she knew chris wouldn't do anything, even if he wanted to, jill knew chris was not much of a gentleman to touch her to do anything. jill wouldn't mind getting touched by chris she thought as she started to get some dirty thoughts, she quickly dismissed the thoughts. she didn't notice but she was blushing

"jill you're red, are you sure you didn't get hurt?" chris asked as he grabbed jills hand and pulled her in close to check her forhead

jill couldn't help but blush even more

"i-im fine, dont worry" jill said turning around

chris was a bit confused as why jill was acting strangely he thought maybe shes scared, but then he gave a small chuckle and he thought to himself "jill? scared? haha never" chris knew jill was a strong women and thats why he liked her, he wasn't like his other partners that he sometimes would get assigned to go on a mission with, jill was his first partner and he remembered how much he objected to having a girl partner and how jill said that women are just as good as men

ever since that day chris has looked up to jill on how brave and not to mention beautiful she was. chris thought to himself jill is the girl his always wanted, shes a fighter, beautiful, amazing, strong, and she isn't scared to get a little dirty when the time is needed, but he knew he couldn't have anything with jill because that would mean interfering with work and for chris the mission and the job always came first, except sometimes, when jill needed him, he would forget about everything and just focus on her, to make sure shes safe, and happy.

chris turned around and looked at jill, as he looked at her back, he smiled but quickly turned around, because he got this weird feeling and he didn't understand it

"chris come and look at this" jill said

chris jumped as he heard his name and quickly went to see what jill needed to show him

"what is it?" chris said looking around trying to find the thing jill wanted to show him bu he saw nothing just a book self with books

jill went into her pocket and took out the virus

jill smiled

chris was shocked. how did she manage to get it? there was a bunch of monsters and she got it? but then he remembered when she fell to the floor, thats when she must have got it but he thought didn't she know she could die? chris smiled as he realized jill knew chris would safe her and protect her form the monsters

"wow jill you are amazing" chris said as he took the virus and put it in hi pocket

"it was nothing, i had you to help me out so we both got it"

"no jill, dont give me credit for something you did all by yourself, you took a risk and it payed off, you are just..wow..im glad i have you around" chris gave her a soft smile

jill felt herself turning red, jill hated the feelings she had for chris, because she knew one day it would be the end of her. she started to like chris back in their 4th mission when chris risked his life to save hers and he put all his body on top of her to protect her from a falling roof. chris got hurt badly and jill thought he wouldn't make it and when she thought she would be gone, she felt very uneasy and afraid and thats when she knew that she couldn't live without chris, chris was like a best friend to jill and they both scared about each other deeply. jill knew chris would risk his life for jill, he wouldn't even think twice about it. and jill would too.

chris was staring at jill as he noticed she was red and then it hit him "could it be shes red because i complimented her? does she have feelings for me?" chris dismissed the thoughts

"jill you should rest for a bit, i will try to find a way out of here without the monsters getting so close to us, because as of right now i think we are stuck in this room"

"let me help you"

"no its fine please rest jill"

"but chris two is better then one"

"jill...dont argue with me, you did enough by getting the virus and risking your life, so please i ask you to rest just for a bit"

jill hated when chris made her rest, she didn't need rest she wanted to help him but at the same time she loved when chris worried about her

chris grabbed jills hand and took her near a chair

"here. its a safe place, just lay against the wall"

jill sat down and rested her head on the wall and she knocked out

chris finished thinking of a way to get out and it was simple and easy, all he would do was throw a grenade to the left and the monsters would follow it since they only have a nose and ears, they would get attracted to the noise and while the monsters ran left chris and jill would go right and while they go out throw the bomb wesker gave chris to take down the house, it was a great plan, chris took pride in himself for thinking so fast and simple

as he moved to get a water he saw jill sleeping peacefully

he smiled "and you said you weren't tired"

jill was a awake but she kept her eyes closed

chris stared at her and how beautiful she looked while sleeping

"damn jill even asleep you are beautiful"

jill couldn't believe chris was saying this to her it made her really happy that maybe just maybe chris might have the same feelings as she did

chris got closed to her and jill stayed still

chris softly touched jills hair

"im glad you're with me jill, who knows where i would be without"

chris leaned in and gave jill a kiss on the forehead jill moved a little bit and chris thought he had waken her up he quickly got to his feet and moved to the book self

jill still kept her eyes closed but she felt as she couldn't breath

chris noticed that she was still asleep and he took a breather

chris didn't understand these feeling he was having towards jill, but he knew he couldn't let them take over because if he did things wouldn't go well in work.

about an hour passed and jill finally woke up because after what chris did to her she fell asleep and when she woke up she thought it was a dream but she looked to her right and chris was sitting next to her.

his arms crossed and his head back, and eyes closed, she thought maybe he fell asleep

"chris..." jill said softly

it took a while but chris said "yeah..."

"oh you're awake, i thought you were sleeping"

"yeah im awake, you don't think i would have went to sleep and left us both unprotected"

"yeah i know, but if you want to rest ill keep guard"

chris looked over at jill

"what? let me guess you don't want to rest"

chris was still looking at jill, these feelings he had he had to test them to make sure they weren't just normal feelings

"chris what is it?"

"its just that you are so beautiful"

jill turned red, how could he just say that out of nowhere ugh redfield why are you so straight forward

chris was still staring at jill and jill felt herself turned more red then she already was

chris moved towards her a little bit more

and chris thought to himself you have to do it redfield you have to test your feelings

jills heart was beating so fast she thought it might come out of her chest, was chris really about to do this, she couldn't believe it, she thought to herself it must be a dream

chris moved it more and before he knew it his lips were pressed against hers

jills eyes opened with shock, chris grabbed her head and pulled her in closer

as he kissed her his heart started to beat fast and he felt jills hands wrap around his neck

what is this feeling chris asked himself? its warm and i like it

chris and jill were still kissing

and jill would have never guessed chris was so warm, she thought after all the time she spent with chris she would know how his body language was and how his lips tasted but she was wrong, chris was completely different when it came to kissing, as she kissed him she felt his lips on hers and they were so warm and his strong arms wrap around her she thought to herself is something more then kissing going to happen

chis couldn't help but notice how soft her lips were how her body wrapped around his, he would have never thought that kissing jill was this amazing, it seemed as if fireworks where going out in chris's chest

the kissing got a bit intense after a while and chris stopped it when he took his lips off jills

jill was still red and shocked and her heart beating fast

chris was well he looked at jill and he stood up

"ahh im sorry jill i umm we should umm" chris didn't have words 

jil just stared at chris and how he was so nervous about what he just did

she thought maybe he regretted it

"it-its fine chris dont umm worry so umm did you come up with a plan to get out because i mean we have the virus our umm mission is done here we could go back to the station"

chris rubbed his head

"yeah yeah i got it"

chris told jill the plans and it was really awkward for jill because chris acted as if nothing happened between them just now, he acted as if both of them didn't feel the rush of being together

"got it jill? its a simple plan and ill throw the bomb after you are out of the house"

"alright got it"

chris and jill moved the desk and opened the door there was no monsters but even so they didn't want to risk anything

chris threw the grenade and he closed the door monsters came running so fast and followed the noise

chris and jill got out and ran for the door there were a few monster near the front door but nothing they couldn't handle

they quickly killed the monsters and ran outside

"jill run and dont come looking for me, run, go!" chris yelled

"but chris what abou-"

"GO!"

jill ran and soon after she heard a loud explosion and parts of the house falling everywhere she knew that chris did the job and now they could go report in and say mission accomplished but chris wasn't coming

jill was going to go check for him but she remembered that chris said to run and not the go looking for him

jill waited for at least 5 minutes and then chris appeared from a behind a tree

he had a few cuts and his left arm was a bit burned nothing serious though

"you waited for me after i told you not to" chris smiled

"why wouldn't i? after all you are a great solider a few monsters or a explosion couldn't take down the great redfield" jill smiled as she gave chris a herb to heal himself

all was well as they headed to the car

they both got in and where on their way back to the station

chris and jill sat there without talking for a while intill chris said

"the kiss wasn't bad"

jill turned her head quickly to face him

"well you aren't a horrible kisser redfield"

chris couldn't help but laugh

"neither are you valentine"

and the whole drive back they were joking around and laughing as they usually did

whatever was in the future for jill and chris weather it was romance or mission wise they would get through it because chris and jill were unstoppable, if they had each other the world was just another game they had to pass, because when chris redfield and jill valentine are on a mission and they are together

nothing can stop them from saving the world.
