Elisha buys an incomplete hazmat suit.  She needs a scientist to make a spore filter for it.

Elisha returns to the science lab to do research on the spore samples she collected.

After playing chess with Valentin Branham, he likes her enough to give her a spore filter for the hazmat suit.  He must be ready lonely if a chess game wins him over to her side.  Still, he wants Elisha to find a cure for the infection.  Isn’t that his job?  What a coward!!!
