𝙳𝙴𝚂𝙴𝚁𝚃 • 𝚃𝚁𝙸𝙿 06/21 - 06/27 ✨🏜🦅🚗💨 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐚 is a permanent sculptural art installation situated 26 miles northwest of Marfa in Valentine, TX. Old Hollywood had its moment when 𝘎𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘵 was filmed in Marfa around 1955, which portrayed the West Texas ranching lifestyle. Marfa has since gentrified into an artist’s hub; as we learned from a local who gave us a bit of the town’s socio-economic history. Thanks for making us coffees at @thesentinelmarfa and giving us all the recommendations @kin_kane___xo ✌🏼 🐎 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸, 𝗡𝗠 The pristine gypsum beauty caught me off guard as we approached its bleach-white horizon. Even with the cloud cover, it feels like an oven; lather up and hydrate. Like the Velvet Underground’s album White Light, White Heat. I saw many different animal tracks though most wildlife come out in the coolness of nightfall. 🐍 𝕄𝕖𝕠𝕨 𝕎𝕠𝕝𝕗, 𝕊𝕒𝕟𝕥𝕒 𝔽𝕖 You can probably spend a whole day inside this immersive museum!
