makoto climbing up on the fucking roof
GOOD CHOICE.
[Day 6] Kazumi stumbles into the cafe, dumping 2000 yen on the counter and making very tired eye contact with Kazuki. "Two slices each of the white and chocolate cakes," she requests.
“You look like shit,” he comments, noting her tired expression. “Not that I can blame you.” With the whole APOCALYPTIC TIMER thing. Quite frankly he’s a little panicked about it himself, but what can a guy do?
“Here ya go,” he says. “Enjoy your cake!”
korosensei for the character thing?
How I feel about this character: You are my dad (You’re my dad!) Boogie woogie woogie woogie. All the people I ship romantically with this character: Aguri, Karasuma, IrinaMy non-romantic OTP for this character: Him and all of his students! My unpopular opinion about this character: No he didn’t always make the right decisions. He himself knew that more than anyone. He wasn’t a perfect guy, but the fact that he was always trying to do better is what really mattered. But no, he wasn’t perfect, and while I can’t blame anyone for being under the impression that he is I’d implore them to look at some of his rasher or more ignorant decisionsOne thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I JUST WISH HE’D LIVED, GODDAMN IT!

Answering these for Adventures In Solitude (Because, duh!)
1. Describe the plot in 1 sentence.
I’m not over Korosensei’s death, Nagisa’s not over Korosensei’s death, and the universe itself clearly isn’t over Korosensei’s death either if this strange little boy is anything to go by.
6. Are there any former titles you’ve considered but discarded?
There was New Moon Rising after the themes of recovery, the moon motif, and the Ghost Mice song, but I just didn’t like how it sounded, so ultimately I stuck with Adventures In Solitude. It’s more distinct and less...... YA sounding.
14. Which character’s name do you like the most?
Kiyoshi means “pure.” While he IS a pure boy, he has absolutely no self confidence, so how he managed to pick this name (Seeing as how he’s trans his name wasn’t just. Given to him at birth.) is a fucking enigma to me. How did this insecure mofo look himself in the mirror and decide “I’m pureboy now?”
Maybe his mom suggested it. That would be cute tbh. Because his PARENTS know he’s pure as fuck.
But all jokes aside yeah his name is my favorite because it makes me giggle.
22. Which character swears the most? least?
The only one I like. Deliberately try to avoid swears with is Fumiko, so she’s definitely the least. She sees it as crass and immature. As for the most... Huh. I don’t know. Out of the canon quartet and oc trio of this fic, all of them swear a fair amount. MAYBE Karma or Kiyoshi? Karma is... Karma. And despite being a pureboy, Kiyoshi has NO filter with swearwords considering the folks he was raised by. No joke: His first word was “fuck,” thanks to Irina. So he has that going for him, at least

1. What’s your favorite word?
Lesbian (Alternatively “fuck.” I know it sounds immature, especially as someone who tried to follow RBW’s “using ‘fuck’ in writing rule for a while, but it’s just TOO fun to embellish my work with. It can make simple things so much funnier.)
12. How often do you back up your work?
I use Google Docs, babey! That is to say: All the time. Literally constantly. It has an autosave.
13. What’s the first story or oc that your current self can be proud of?
Already answered!
17. What’s something you wish you would’ve learned earlier as a writer?
It doesn’t need to be perfect. Don’t spend so much time overthinking it. The most valuable thing you can do is just write. Get in the habit. Once you start writing every day it starts to become really easy.

WIP WRITING ASKS!
13. Are there scenes that you cut already?
For the most part, nah. Sometimes I cut scenes after planning them, but mostly never after writing them. I’m a stubborn bastard.
20. What’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?
Years back I heard the tip to sprinkle action in between your dialogue, both as a way to occasionally avoid the said/vs not-said debacle, and to make it seem like during dialogue characters aren’t floating in a scene. It works SUPER well and it’s advice I feel has helped my writing flourish.
I.E instead of writing
“Well aren’t you feeling like an asshole?” Nagisa says.
“It’s what I do!” Karma replies.
Nagisa stands up and rolls his eyes.
I could write.
“Well aren’t you feeling like an asshole?” Nagisa stands.
“It’s just what I do!” Karma protests, bringing his fingers through his hair. Nagisa can only roll his eyes in response.
It seems to flow better, y’know?
Another one I’ve learned and really appreciated is that you can always pretty much cut words like heard/felt/saw/smelled. Obviously this varies, but for the most part they act as buffer words. “He felt her punch him in the face” is just a weaker version of “She punched him in the face” and “They heard music flow down the hallway” is just a needlessly prolonged version of “Music flowed down the hallway.” Unless our character is blind/deaf/ect/ect, them sensing whatever we describe is pretty much already a given.
21. What’s a common writing tip that you mostly ignore?
Any needless prose stuff. No need to spend 800 years describing something. Just get to the point! And most of the grammar behind the phrase “but,”
