you say you can give out starters but don't have the 'fancy species'?? what do you have for starter options?

Currently? We've got a starter-program approved Ralts, Mankey, aaand Seedot.

There's a couple general guidelines a Pokemon has to fit to be approved for the starter-program, and Mankey's a pretty rare one to fit it, but the one we currently have on-site is pretty well-tempered for a Mankey, so it qualified.

I thiiiink... I'd say its our willingness- hell, our desire, to befriend everything, learn about everything. There's not a creature in the universe that you could imagine that wouldn't have at least one human clambering to get to know it, pet it, feed it. Its what we do!

Ah, a researcher in Paldea! This may be a long shot as I've discovered, but have you ever done any research on the Pokemon within the Great Crater? ( @malus-pokemon-research )

That'sss been pretty limited. League's own researchers were the only ones handling that for awhile, though our lab is currently going through the paperwork to get permission to study a specific species from it, "Flutter Mane." A couple other labs and individual researchers have gotten permission to study various species from within, but its still pretty restricted.

I'm well read on all the publicly released papers on them thus far, though (and a few that haven't been publicly released). But haven't handled any myselff. Yet.

Annyy way, in case you were wondering, No, looking in the hole in a Shedinja's back does not steal your soul or whateverr.

If you stare into it for too long however, people are prone to experiencing bouts of paranoia, cold chills, and in extreme cases, mild hallucinations.

You gotta realllly stare into that thing though. Just a glance won't cause this.

Alolan Grimer and Muk are pretty interesting species, actually. They can actually have pleasant smells depending on their diet.

Alolan Muk can also have slight variations in their colors dependent on diet, too. The more toxic the things they consume are, the more vibrant their colors are, and the exact tones can vary.
