"Hey Vale, can you see now?" Leigh said into the phone. The last time she had seen her friend, Vale had only been able to feel and hear the world around her. Hopefully that had changed for the better.
"I don’t know a single person here…" - Vale
"You know me. Don’t I count?"
"Nice baby." -Vale
"Thanks, but he’s not mine." Leigh chuckled, shifting the sleeping infant in her arms ever so slightly.
"One of my coworkers had a family emergency, and Tommy here is too young to fly so she asked me to babysit until she can get back."
Silent Fall (Open Rp)
The rain pattered on the window continuously, making the only sound in the entire house. With no lights on, the cloud-filtered sunlight kept the room from being completely dark, and sent grey shadows to stand all around.
The only occupant of the room was lying at the center of the floor, her dark hair pulled together in a braid on either side of her head. Her ears were covered by headphones, and her MP3 player set off to the side, but no music played. Her dull hazel eyes were staring straight up at the ceiling, but didn't see anything.
Leigh felt, rather than heard, someone knock on the door to the spare room, but she didn't move to answer, nor did she make any sound similar to "Come in". She simply continued to lay there, unresponsive, even as the door opened and she felt footsteps moving towards her.
"I don’t ever want kids." -Vale
"And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that."
"Well, hello, ms. tiny!" - Vale
"Hi hi!" giggled the child. "But I isn’t tiny. I’m big! Like this!"
The little girl puffed out her chest and cheeks, holding up her pudgy arms like a body builder.
EMPRESS OF MY HEART -VALE
