"I got a dog.  It was my neighbor’s but…she’s kind of mine now.”

Zombie AU- Valiantfacade

Running

That's all Lightning and the group she had found to fight had been doing for weeks now, she didn't know the date or time anymore. Though in a zombie apocalypse that didn't matter to anyone anymore. All that mattered was staying alive and not getting bitten.

She was one of the stronger fighters along with a blond male she could never remember the name of. They had been pushing them back silently for a few days. Guns were an emergency only weapon. Thankfully they were able to find a blacksmiths shop and steal a few swords. She wasn't very skilled yet, though she was slowly learning. 

One night as they were all spending a night in a cold and damp warehouse her and the blond had watch duty. They didn't speak much do to not wanting to attract any zombies, though nothing had come up yet so she leaned her head back and shut her eyes for a few moments.
