I’m having a moment.
I can’t believe a fake album cover I made is hanging in that artist’s brand new studio, built so he could embark full-time upon being a producer, because he asked for it. I can’t believe we’ve never met each other in real life but we both know Sufjan and Ed, and that was enough for him to start talking to me. I can’t believe yet again, just being willing to open my big mouth spawned a connection with someone much cooler and much much much more talented than me. I feel like I’m everything 18-year-old me wished she could be finally. I have always just wanted to know the people I look up to, to be friends with them, to make impressions upon these artists I respect and want to emulate so much, and here I am, doing that. I don’t give a fuck if no one else knows about Psychic Temple, I do and Chris is important to me as a person and artist, and he thinks I’m worthwhile. That just feels good.
