This place had grown irreprehensibly boring. It really wasn’t anyone’s fault. There was only so much…entertainment one place could offer a man like him. At his age and in general. And with what little luster this place still had had worn off on the elder vampire from charm to tedium.
Gideon sighed and put his book down. He supposed it was time to move again. Perhaps head back across the seas to Europe. Europe was always good for a fun romp.
“Hey you!” Gideon looked up from staring at his damasked ceiling in thought as his progeny waltzed into the room. Margaret, as always, all wild smiles and wild eyes.
“Where have you been?” He asked in cheeky suspicion. Her clothes were dirty, her hair a mess, and those wild eyes held that spark in them that said she had done something. Something bad. Something she was proud of.
And much like a cat wanting to leave its prize at its master’s feet for praise, Margaret curled into his lap with a cooed, “Ouuuut…”
“I can see.” He told her, plucking a leaf from her hair as she giggled.
“What have you been up to?”
“That’s all you ever do.” The blonde pouted, resting her head on her maker’s shoulder and looking up at him through her lashes.
“I like reading. And, to be fair, that’s all there is to do around here.”
“Not anymore….” His progeny sing-songed, seeming to get to the point. Margaret all but leapt up of her maker’s lap and grabbed his hand to pull him along with her. She led Gideon through the house and up the stair. Gideon smirked. What was she doing?
The blonde vampire opened the door to Gideon’s master bedroom where her brother, Michael, he had wondered where he had been, had a boy restrained on his bedroom floor. “We found him while we were out and thought you might like it.” Margaret told him, beaming with pride.
The dark haired vampire grinned and raked his eyes over his new ‘gift’; lying on the floor, battered and injured, and leashed like a dog to one of the four posts of his bed. “My, my, isn’t this a nice surprise. You do give the best gifts.” The maker cooed, kneeling down by the captured woman. “What’s your name, sweet lad?”
