To the anon who asked if the title of my fic was a reference to this prompt, and I said it was just a coincidence (the ask I’m referencing is here), I just want you to know I’m a lying liar who lies, because I completely forgot that I pulled the title (I mean, it’s kind of a general phrase but I definitely had read this poem when I was thinking of what to call my sequel) from this poem by Nikita Gill and it has super Valki vibes and so that was probably in the back of my mind when I ultimately decided on the title. Also, the chapter that I’m working on now is pretty angsty Valki along these lines, and I also was inspired last night to make a Valki edit using the poem so, basically, I retract my previous answer to your question. Have an edit for the trouble. :)
