I've spent the last several days salvaging materials from my stasis pod and the local hew-man scrapyards to build myself a survival shelter. I'd say it was a fairly successful venture.

*sighs*

I am thankful that I had the foresight to install that RF Brainwave Transceiver into the stasis pod, as it allowed me to passively learn about this world and its societies since they rediscovered radio technology. From what I've been able to ascertain, the dinosaurs died out sixty-five million years ago, which means that the brain box modules in my survival kit are currently useless, as no large scale animals exist on this world anymore - save for some pachyderms and a few other creatures in isolated pockets.

I'll have to figure something out in that regard.

*grunts thoughtfully*

No sense focusing on that right now.

I have also been doing some thinking about my weaponry. There was a Laz-Pistol in my survival kit and a carbon monofilament knife. My Laz-Rifle's power cells are fully depleted and I have no current way to recharge them, but I think I can reconfigure the Laz-Pistol to accept solar charging. If I can do that, I can then pull the lazer cores from the rifle...

Binary Lazer? More wattage, slightly increased range... it's an idea. Probably devour energy, but that's not so much a concern since the hew-mans have obliterated their ozone layer. More than enough UV radiation to keep it topped off.

*sighs deeply*

I hope there are other Rulons who survived the intermittent millennia and can get in contact. I have a theory about the STEP crystal, the Valorians, the Rulons, and this world....
