More than anything else, Una’s voice is delicate. However, it’s not so much a gentle puff of warm air as the cold mist in your mouth after eating a mint. It’s not a very useful voice, but she gets by. Her typical speaking tones are on the quiet side, words very carefully clipped and enunciated. It can, at times, make her sound either overly formal, emotionally unattached, or borderline robotic. If someone were able to get her to relax, her voice would sound more girlish, or possibly even slightly sweet, though still containing that crisp undertone.
The main reason she keeps her voice carefully monitored is because she hates the way it sounds when its volume is raised. She’s not very good at projecting her voice, and so it has a tendency to grow shrill very quickly the louder she gets--it comes mainly from her head, rather than her chest.
As a result, when singing, her voice is more of high, breathy “Marilyn Monroe” type, though not so much sultry as coquettish. A good mic is essential for her, because there’s really no way her voice would be able to carry well across a room.
I still haven’t come up with a seiyuu for her, so maybe this is a dated reference, but I imagine her voice to be something like Megumi Hayashibara’s, particularly in her role as Anna Kyouyama.
