Ten Lines - Valrys

Nobody knows the trinity system as I do. I remember firsthand the Shadow's War, the devastation wrought by our brothers and sisters in Nox...the lengths we went to, gods and Guardians, to end it all.

But has it truly ended?

Even now, scars still linger on Var-soth and Arret alike. The humans...my people, the Lux angelis...even the Guardians themselves; we all live in fear of the past. Aria wishes to see Arret face its history, rather than flee it. I hope, someday, her aspirations become reality...

The disappearances on Arret...the visitors from the dark... I can sense his hand in this. We are not free from the war. Not yet.

Psychological evaluation: Personable and diplomatic, but otherwise difficult to read. Holds gods and Five Guardians both in high regard despite frequently having to mediate disputes among the latter. Avoidance of topics related to Shadow's War suggests some amount of personal trauma, but otherwise of sound mental health. Psychologically compatible with Lirix, Renov, Nimi.

Editor's note: A little worried about the potential psychological toll of her service length. She said it's fine, but man, a thousand years is a long time, even for them.

Conclusion: Difficult to judge accurately due to lack of predecessor or successor. Dedication to preserving peace in the wake of the Shadow's War unquestionable, however. Well suited to her position as Light Lancer, though minor psychological concerns may become problematic if aggravated.

The Cast - Valrys

The unofficial leader of the Five Guardians, Exemplar Valrys is in the unique position of being the only Guardian - and indeed the only person in the entire trinity system - with firsthand recollection of the war, having been gifted with agelessness so she could remain her race's sole warrior. She alone remembers the invasion from Nox into Lux, and later Arret, and it was she who rallied the other Guardians to come to their defense while the gods forged the relic-weapons that would ultimately turn the battle in their favor. While the Five Guardians have no established power structure between them, Valrys' past heroics and centuries of world experience have given her words a great deal of weight when it comes to inter-world matters and disputes.

Like other Lux angelis, Valrys abhors violence, and is well known for her benevolence and mercy, as well as her considerable efforts towards establishing a lasting peace in the wake of the war. Indeed, it was by her word that the survivors of Nox were exiled back to their home, rather than executed, and it was by her word that the other Guardians were convinced to leave Arret to its own devices. Less known, however, is the fact that her age, her experiences, and now the expectations surrounding her have left Valrys somewhat jaded and remorseful.  She hides her melancholy well, but astute Trinity Order scholars have lately begun to wonder: when a Guardian is expected to serve forever, what happens when he or she needs to be replaced?
