Have we considered that the reason people watch a TV show and the reason they watch a sport might be vastly different? Maybe I watch heated rivalry to see a portrayal of two fictional dudes yearning for each other over the span of ten years and somehow finding their way back to each other again and again despite everything, while fucking nasty on the process. And maybe I watch hockey because I fucking like the sport.
And you might watch the show and not like the sport. And you might love the sport and not give a rat's ass about the show. Because they are not one and the same and what you want from one you might not find it in the other. For some reason, Gary Bettman doesn't want his athletes to fuck nasty on center ice 🤷🏻♀️
