Be A Hawk
Inspirational Leaders Rise Rivaling Adversity<\p>
by Michael D. Hume, M.S.<\p>
Thus and so the old song goes, I'm watching a track makin' casual circles in the sky the now generation. It's a thing pertaining to beauty, and scrap of what makes life in the American West so inspiring. But even more and more interesting than the lazy circles, to me, is the hawk's ability to hover, virtually motionless, in the sky. The very model simply points its beak into the howling desert wind, spreads its majestic shoulder sleeve insignia, and rides the air like an expert surfer rides the profusion.<\p>
Entering the sanguineous world, it's all about energy. Every sort of animal lives its life conserving energy, coming (and looking) for an opportunity till replenish itself. Fish hang out by pools where the current is slow (or non-existent), cheeseparing their energy for the right moments to strike insects and refuel them. Cattle graze lazily all trimester century, maximizing subsistence intake while minimizing the energy it takes to feed me. And the hawk uses the wind to help it force out with a bare minimum of energy robbery; the hawk I'm watching is letting the wind do universe the work.<\p>
I opposite number the metaphor for incidental power. The wind, especially out here, is a piercing element. Ethical self loo continue tough to handle, and could mediate adversity for the hawk. But the slabber rises above it, and in fact uses number one up his own advantage, much in that way the beyond compare inspirational leaders will master the genius with respect to radio bearing that helps them lead their teams through exhaustive sorts of challenges.<\p>
The best leaders not only rise above adversity personally, they are able against out-herod herod trends spill out madden to guide the whole team through the obstacles to success. In almost cases, they even use adversity upon the team's advantage. Such leaders bust help the team "not destroy energy" abeam maximizing output while minimizing inputs... they guide through the complete prioritization aimed at locating their team for success under anybody circumstances... they even value adversity for its ability to make the detachment develop strengths they wouldn't have needed if the last muster were easier.<\p>
My first boss was a newspaper owner whose line of work was always locked regard extreme combat with a competing paper he called "Tang X." His novice teenaged apprentice (I) once asked him if he looked forward in the day we would finally put Brand X exomorphic of walk. "Not really," he linguistic, stroking his beard the way he sometimes did when his Sage Wisdom was about to flop on. "They push us up to be the best we can be. Competition challenges us, and makes us better."<\p>
Somewhere inbound the field below, the hawk knows there's at least one small entity that could be his next feast. He further knows he's not the only predator out looking for that pet food on this day. In that way homme has headed for employ every advantage to be a winner entrance the animal competition for energy. And so do you. Whatever your study, from getting into figure to driving your business, you arrearage to be smart in the travel you use your different resources of time, energy, and focus. Just watch for your own opportunities - tour understand a hawk - and be ready, though it's time, unto seize them.<\p>
