Ulta3 lipliner in Terracota ($2.95)

This lip liner is the business. It’s cheap as heck ($3 at your local pharmacy, or buy online here), is a great neutral shade, and helps your lippie last. I wear matte lipsticks because I want them to last, and when I pair this up with the Ulta3 matte lipstick ($3.95 - I’d do a review but I lost it mine in Harem Pink and haven’t gotten around to buying another but these are TRULY matte which is a rarity) I have a great pout for hours and hours.

This does go on a bit thick, so I tend to blot it after I put it on all over my lips. If I don’t blot, it can change the colour of your lippie to add a chocolately colour, but that can look great! Otherwise, just get a liner closer to the colour you’re using.

Because I had such a great experience with a cheap pharmacy lippie, I bought an Essence Lipliner in 10 Femme Fatale ($2) and it sucks. It doesn’t help my lippie stay where it should. Total bummer.

Daiso cotton pad dispenser (video 0:55)

Here is my review of this awesome little cotton pad dispenser I picked up at Daiso for $2.80 (only 55 seconds long!). Daiso is a ¥100 store that has stores in NSW, QLD, and Vic; everything is $2.80 and they have some great bewdy products.

For those that can’t view it, it’s a black plastic container (reminds me of Ana Sui style, also comes in clear) that opens at the top and you pop your rectangle cotton pads in. You pull them out from the bottom, and it replenishes like magic!

The packaging said “200pc” - there were 35 pads that came with the container, and I reckon if you squished them down you’d get about 100 in there.

Are you working or studying at the moment? Also where in Canada is the best place to live?

i am currently “between schools.” 

i have a BA in Religion, but have also studied fashion design, public relations, and women’s studies.

when i hit victoria i wanna study horticulture and maybe some creative writing? i am basically buster bluth from arrested development. 

i also work at an aveda spa - i have been there 8 years and am sad as hell to leave at the end of the summer. in victoria i’m gonna try to get a job at a flower shop or a nursery or something at least loosely-plant related? otherwise i will end up doing customer service / reception like i do now. 

edit - oh yeah! valueplus! canada is an awesome place to live. i really enjoy free(ish) healthcare (doesn’t cover eyes or teeth, and some treatments for serious shit are not covered.)  but the weather here in ottawa where i live now is not at all temperate. boiling hot summers, freezing cold winters.

victoria, i’m hoping, will be the best place in canada to live - the weather is temperate and it doesn’t rain as much as it does in say, vancouver. it’s pretty small though, and mostly old people! 

at the end of the summer we have to drive across the whole country - it is like 48 hours of driving at least, but we are gonna stretch it out over about 2 weeks.
