After cybersex with Batori we get another mention of Vamiun acting to appease others, specifically with the tentacles which he seems to not use, but buys for the sake of appeasing others

(Another note in the Batori situation, outside of Vamiun's rampant cheating is that there is a good chance Vamiun really only means these to be flings, and it's Batori whose mostly mistaken, Vamiun never actually confirms or denies anything, thought it really could go either way with Vamiun)

Analyzing whatever Vamiun and Sectra dynamic is, is like fascinating. Because he's managed to downplay himself to mildly creepy (mostly due to the restraining order), but that last statement about Karkat seemed somewhat genuine. Combine that with their genuinely friendly dynamic in their conversation in Chapter 4, it sort of leaves an odd impression. Especially considering he puts her in the game last and gives her all the benefits, I guess to humiliate her.
