𝓥𝓪𝓶𝓹𝓲𝓻𝓮𝓼- Anything relating to Vampires (literature, movies, recommendations, folklore, art)
𝓡𝓮𝓵𝓲𝓰𝓲𝓸𝓾𝓼 𝓣𝓻𝓪𝓾𝓶𝓪 - I think religion and vampires go hand in hand, especially since that trope has helped me cope with my own insecurities and rejection
𝓗𝓸𝓻𝓻𝓸𝓻- There will be other relogging's on here that is horror based, mostly folk horror and the relation to vampires but don't be surprised if you see something that looks out of place
𝓐𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓽𝓲𝓬 - LOTS of aesthetic pictures from my Pinterest boards and reblogs from my favorite blogs out here
𝓦𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 + 𝓐𝓻𝓽- I will on occasion post some of my own writing on here, most of it will be folk horror/ vampire related I also will eventually post art
𝓜𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓼- of course, who doesn't love a good meme or comic strip to make you cackle
**None of the art/pictures/ writings I personally post are mine unless I specifically say so, I will do my utmost best to credit the original artist**

I really appreciate all of you that gave me a follow and have become mutuals with me, I never really expected much attention from my blog and was solely looking to post about my vamp obsessions, and its super cool that I have found others on here that are into Vampires, and dark academia and the likes of that.
For my babes who want to get into vampires but don't know where to start. Here are some of my personal recommendations.
Vampires are a very fun genre to get into especially in films imo, you get ranges from romance, to comedy, to drama, to sinister. I really recommend looking into vampire folklore as well, I love the many interpretations of vampires across the country, but in my experience, having background knowledge of the folklore/history makes these films more enjoyable. (this is just my personal preference, you ofc don't have to do this)
What We Do in the Shadows (2014 film) and (2019) show. They are both mockumentary comedies, but I think they're really good and very humorous. The characters are more fitting to classic vampire stereotypes but I think that's what makes it more enjoyable
Interview with a Vampire (1994), I also strongly recommend the book written by Anne Rice. Although I am not the biggest Tom Cruise fan, he is how I pictured Lestat
Van Helsing (2004) Focuses more on Hugh Jackman and hunting vampires, I loved how the vampires were portrayed in this film
Castlevania (2017) people are usually hesitant when I recommend this one because it is an anime, but Castlevania is one of the franchises that really sucked me into vampires. Gothic Horror/Literature is such a perfect mix with vampires, especially when religious elements are tied in as well.
If you want something more in the 'teen romance' part, I suggest *The Vampire Diaries (*TVD), it is a bit dated, and it is one of those 'love it or hate it' series. But I think if given the chance you could potentially really like it. It obviously has a little more than romance, but the main love triangle was what I was there for. (you could also watch the spin-off series called The Originals, I preferred this one a little bit more especially if you wish to know more about the originals )
I also really recommend looking at the suggestions on this article, if you are looking for vampire romance films that AREN'T Twilight (no judgement on those who enjoy the series, I enjoyed it when I was younger, I just don't really have the same feelings towards it now)
If you want more recent films:
Midnight Mass (2021) This series was a little bit scarier than the other ones I have recommended (I didn't know if you had any limits so I thought I would lay this one out here). But it also falls under a Gothic horror in a way, like I said before when I suggested Castlevania, Religion, gothic horror, and vampires are such a good mix, and you can really see it shine in this series
Dracula (2020) I love retellings or Bram Stokers Dracula (if you have not read the book or know much of Vlad the Impaler, I strongly recommend doing a little deep dive on him). This retelling was a lot more modern and I really loved Claes Bang's acting, I am such a stickler for Dracula's because imo Christopher Lee will always be number 1.
**Note: I did not recommend Christopher Lee's Dracula Films because they are a little older, and I know that some people do not have the patience for older films. However I will be happy to Link them here**
The Invitation (2022) Although I didn't really enjoy this film as much as I hoped I would, I still am going to put it down because I know some people really did like it. It is a bit of a build up, but I don't want to spoil it for you
I hope that some of these recommendations you enjoy, I saw some of the other recommendations on here and they are all so good. Personally I think a big plus in the Vampire community/genre is that there are so many interpretations of vampires and there are so many forms in media that you can really dip your toes into all of it and pick and choose what you like from the batch. I hope you look into a bunch and Happy hunting !
a violent transition for our main character and that is your warning...will she survive?
Previous ch: Ch. 1, Ch 2, Ch 3, Ch 4
Bill adviser Jen, “This is how you will get what you need. You must feed on a human without really hurting and especially without killing them. I will show you how it is done. Then you can try.”
He steps out for a moment. Then comes back with a 20 something dark skinned girl with beautiful full curly hair. They sit on the couch. The girl is between Bill and Jen. He lifts her left arm.
Bill looks deeply into the girl’s eyes. “Jessica, it is your honor to meet us tonight. It is the best thing that has ever happened to you. That is all you need to remember. “
He bites into her wrist. Jessica screams out. Jen watches waiting for her chance. Wanting to just rip into the girl like a lion devouring a gazelle. She holds back fearing the outcome of death. Bill stops drinking. He heals her wrist. Then he nods to Jen to do the same as he did.
Jessica smiles, “Thank you for this experience, Prince.” She looks to Jen who has taken her hand eyeing the vein that is pulsating in Jessica’s wrist. “I am glad you brought me back to meet you, Princess. I hope I can have the love you obviously do for each other someday.”
Looking deeply into Jessica’s eyes Jen says, “I am glad to meet you also. Be whimsically happy you were back here as you tell your friends about the enjoyable conversation you had with us about love.”
Jen bites into her right wrist closing her eyes as she drinks. She feels the girl’s heart slow and realizes she must stop. Then she hears Bill encourager stronger as she already knows it is almost too much.
Bill firmly yells, “Stop, it is time to stop with her.”
Jen Stops. Licks her lips and then the wound healing it. She looks at Jessica, “It has been great talking with you. I hope to eventually meet your friends.”
Bill helps Jessica stand up. He then tells her, “Be careful. I think you should go home and rest. You are a little too drunk and that is why you are light-headed.” He opens the door. Derick is there waiting. “Make sure her and her friends leave. Tell them they are ready to call it a night. Jessica drank too much, so she is barely able to walk. We will be out shortly for the end of the evening fun.”
Derick helps Jessica out so they can find her friends. Nothing is left to chance. Each of her friends must believe the same story to keep things at the club running smoothly. They are regulars so Derick knows their minds are easily manipulated. Bill goes back to sit by Jen. She is sitting there a little nervous that she did not pass his test and what the outcome of that might be.
Bill puts his hands over hers to stop them from fidgeting. “No need to be nervous Jen. You did good for being new and hungry. You would have stopped before it was too late. I just gave you an extra nudge. I did not even have to pull you away. That is better than most.”
Jen licked her lips, “That was amazing. She will not remember any of it?”
Bill smiled, “I think between what we both said Jessica had the time of her life. Your last line to her was so polite. Although we will not be playing with her friends tonight, I do think you are ready to blend in with the crowd. You will be able to tell us from them when you get out there. You will see this club in whole new light. I think you can handle it all. Just a little from more people and you will be satisfied.”
Jen gets excited, “I can almost taste the crowd without being out there. Are you sure I am ready for this?”
Bill took a big whiff in the air, “I can to. I know you are ready for this. I also know you will have a fun time. If you make a mess, since sometimes blood spills, just tell them they spilled their drink so must burn their cloths.”
They step out of the office. The DJ is playing The Vicetone Remix of Zedd featuring Foxes song Remedy. The height of the evening is about to start. Jen looks around the bar, for the first time noticing who are not all they are to the people around them. The room looks up at them as they walk through.
Bill nod to them all. “Who is ready for the best time of their lives before the sun comes up?”
Everyone in the room hoots and hollers. As Bill leads Jen out to the dance floor, she notices all Bill’s family have started to lacerate parts of the people. Drinks spill over as the blood drips down to cover the tables. Her eyes widen in horror, fascination, and hunger.
Bill carried her out the glass doors in front of him. He turns her toward him. “Remember to have some control. Also have fun in the chaos.”
The dance floor is dark other than some flashing colorful strobe lights random lighting up the crowd. She follows him to the center of the crowd as Rob Zombie’s Dragula (Metal Remix) starts to drive the crowd to an orgy like frenzy. Picking their first dance victim Bill spins grabbing a girl. He dances her between him and Jen.
Bill looks at the girl and mesmerizes her easily. “You will love this next part. You are going to want to burn those cloths tomorrow from the drink stain.”
The DJ shouts, “On the count of three scream and keep screaming until you cannot scream no more. This is the best part of your lives. One, two, three.”
Bill rips his razor like teeth into the right side of the girl’s neck. Following his lead Jen syncs her teeth into the left side. In three seconds, the girl is healed. Bill grabs the closes person to him pull a guy away from his girlfriend and says the same thing to him.
Jen dances over to the girl who is still screaming as she dances to the music not even seeing what is happening to her man. “This is a great night for you and your guy. You got to personally dance with the owner of the club and his girl. You will feel nothing but pleasure. Just burn your cloth tomorrow instead of trying to figure out the stains.”
Jen grabs the girl’s wrist biting in, drinking as much as she can in just a few seconds. Bill and Jen work their way through the club dancing, feeding, and healing as they go. The DJ slows things down at the end of the night.
The DJ says, “Last Song of the night, Oasis’ *Wonderwall* goes out to the owner of this great club, Bill, and his girl Jen. Go ahead and take the lights coming up as a clue it is closing time people. Thanks for all you gave us. See you when the sun goes down again.”
The lights go up disorienting most people for a moment. Their drinks were spilled all over them plus covering the floors and even spattered on the walls. Most laugh at the site. Two guards were posted at the door as everyone was leaving just to make sure all the people remembered having a fun time even though they ruined their cloths. Jen and Bill covered in blood slow danced in the middle of the bloody mess.
