Imagine waking up to being spooned from behind by your vampire boyfriend, and he is subconsciously nibbling your neck in his sleep. You wanna wake him up because it kind of hurts, but also he is just so precious.
Or when the two of you have been dating for a while, y'all act like an old married couple when he does that. You woke up to your neck covered in slobber, and you slightly jerk your head back and forth to push him off. "Stop... It hurts.... I'm trying to sleep..." You get aggravated at him when he does it. But the second you don't wake up to him doing it you get sad.
Alright... Integrity, then? Reader doesn't seem very patient... And she's sometimes kind, but it doesn't seem like a driving force of her personality. Except maybe in a twisted sense? She doesn't want to hurt others, but her actions indirectly do so. And her actions are kind of selfish sometimes. But it would be an interesting twist of the trait. Ok, so now I'm waffling between Integrity and Kindness, but I really think it's Integrity.
Hehehe! Not Integrity! But uh, you have some interesting thoughts about Kindness there… like, really interesting…
Lol… you all but officially guessed it, so I won’t beat around the bush. Yep! It’s Kindness!! She used to be super kind and thoughtful, and it still shows through sometimes, but it’s been “twisted” as you say. Years of rejection and subsequent self-isolation has really done a number on her soul. This is going to be somewhat addressed in the next chapter. And yes, it is reversible, so she’s not a hopeless cause :)
I’m surprised nobody caught it, but her love of baking was a hint to Kindness as well, since the Kindness soul in Undertale is associated with baking. :D
I guess that her soul is... Perseverance? It would certainly be interesting. Most people avoid that soul trait because it isn't as cool or definite as the others. Most view as a weaker form of Determination. But I think it kind of makes sense because of how she has persevered for all these years, despite of everything. Even when she doesn't want to go on, she perseveres. Unless I'm wrong, and that's only a small trait of hers, not her soul trait.
I agree, it would be interesting! I think I’ve only read one fanfic where the mc had a Perseverance soul.
Unfortunately though… Perseveranceis only a small trait of hers. Really great guess though!!
Ican also say, related to my hint for the last guess, that if her trait werePerseverance she most likely wouldn’t be experiencing her strange soul issues. That probably doesn’t help anyone’s guess at all xD Sorry
((Also, I didn’t get lucky with a relevant gif like last time T-T))
I’m gonna guess the vampire’s soul is not the same as in the original?? I mean, that would be too easy, right? Hm... I think... dude this is hard xD Maybe justice? Just gonna throw it out there, see what happens
That’s a good guess, but nope :) It’s true that she values fairness, but it doesn’t drive her.
I’ll throw out a hint: whatever’s been going on with her lately is affecting her soul, and subsequently her personality. So her soul trait has been muted or damaged. You can see glimmers of it through her actions here and there. I don’t know if that helps or not xD
Hi! So um, love your cool thing obviously. I was just wondering about 'Hey, I wonder what the Slayer would kill Reader with?' Because sunlight is obviously a bad thing lol... I have this hc that human mages used Gold staffs/charms/swords to store energy and cast spells, and Monsters in turn used silver to kill humans... But does Reader have any other taboos? Like cinnamon scented candles?? *shrugs*
Thanks!! :) That’s a pretty cool headcannon by the way!
To answer your question about Reader’s “taboos,” she doesn’t have too many. This’ll be covered better within the next couple of chapters or so, but basically vampires were made to be near-invincible weapons against monsters. Both magic and physical attacks don’t do much because of their quick healing abilities, unless they’re very severely wounded, like if their vital organs were shredded or their head was chopped off, or something similar (sorry for the graphic description!) When humans use magic there are drawbacks (or prices, if you will). For example with vampires, silver is something that would counter their magic and weaken them, much like sunlight, but worse. Their energy is drained in sunlight, but silver is more their kryptonite. Vampire slayers will most definitely have weapons made of silver, preferably ones that get stuck in the victim for prolonged injury. Hopefully that answer was satisfactory :) Thanks for asking!
