😅 so I worked on it a little over thanksgiving break, but I ended up real busy with festivities and what not.
I’m in deep with college finals atm, but I’m gonna try really hard to get the next chapter done before the new year! I know it’s been almost year now since I updated, and I feel terrible. But hang in there! It’ll be soon!

Alright... Integrity, then? Reader doesn't seem very patient... And she's sometimes kind, but it doesn't seem like a driving force of her personality. Except maybe in a twisted sense? She doesn't want to hurt others, but her actions indirectly do so. And her actions are kind of selfish sometimes. But it would be an interesting twist of the trait. Ok, so now I'm waffling between Integrity and Kindness, but I really think it's Integrity.
Hehehe! Not Integrity! But uh, you have some interesting thoughts about Kindness there… like, really interesting…
Lol… you all but officially guessed it, so I won’t beat around the bush. Yep! It’s Kindness!! She used to be super kind and thoughtful, and it still shows through sometimes, but it’s been “twisted” as you say. Years of rejection and subsequent self-isolation has really done a number on her soul. This is going to be somewhat addressed in the next chapter. And yes, it is reversible, so she’s not a hopeless cause :)
I’m surprised nobody caught it, but her love of baking was a hint to Kindness as well, since the Kindness soul in Undertale is associated with baking. :D
I guess that her soul is... Perseverance? It would certainly be interesting. Most people avoid that soul trait because it isn't as cool or definite as the others. Most view as a weaker form of Determination. But I think it kind of makes sense because of how she has persevered for all these years, despite of everything. Even when she doesn't want to go on, she perseveres. Unless I'm wrong, and that's only a small trait of hers, not her soul trait.
I agree, it would be interesting! I think I’ve only read one fanfic where the mc had a Perseverance soul.

That’s a good guess, but nope :) It’s true that she values fairness, but it doesn’t drive her.
I’ll throw out a hint: whatever’s been going on with her lately is affecting her soul, and subsequently her personality. So her soul trait has been muted or damaged. You can see glimmers of it through her actions here and there. I don’t know if that helps or not xD
I really like your story. It's really different from the original (in a great way) because you bring in the fact that there is an existing community of vampires unlike the original that focuses on Y/n being a lone bat. Also, how'll Paps react when he finds out that reader's a vampire and how would he find out? Cause I sorta imagine that once sans knows, he'll keep it a secret til Paps finds out himself from an overhead conversation. Anyway, I'm REALLY looking forward to the next chapter 😊

As far as Papyrus finding out y/n’s a vampire, yes, you’re right that Sans would keep quiet about it. Papyrus is very loyal to Asgore and will do everything he can to make sure the vampire extermination order is fulfilled.
I’ve got an idea of how I want Paps to find out, and I won’t give it away, but him overhearing a conversation about it was definitely a possibility! Here are some other options I considered: he spies on her because he’s suspicious of what his bro’s human friend is really like and witnesses her feeding; the slayer discerns her identity and recruits him for help; or he’s out patrolling for vampires, recognizes her, follows, and sees her feeding (kinda the same as the first idea).
As for how he reacts, if he finds out at this point in the story, he’s going to try and kill her right away. He’s following strict orders for the “good of monsterkind,” and he also fears for his brother’s life. If y/n and Sans become really close, like relationship close, he will be very conflicted. He’ll have a hard time deciding whether to turn her in or help her keep her identity a secret. It’s a choice between family and duty. If Papyrus becomes friends with her he will be conflicted at first. He’ll definitely feel betrayed, but once he thinks it over he’ll decide for certain to protect her. He doesn’t make friends lightly, and he can see y/n’s a good person.

Tiny drabble I wrote... it’s probably cliche for Sans, but I was feeling Super Depressed™ and figured writing this might help. It did, a little.

Sans didn’t understand. He got 12 hours of sleep last night, so why was he so. Fricking. Tired?
Papyrus hadn’t been happy about it. He’d come back to the house around 10am to find Sans still asleep. Honestly, if his brother hadn’t woken him up he might’ve slept about five hours more. He’d done it before.
He sighed and leaned his upper half on the guard shack’s counter. The snow-blanketed forest was silent. Fitting that he should be here in this quiet, barren setting. It was a small representation of his life. Meaningless. Empty.
More than that, he deserved to be here alone. That’s what he was in the grand scheme of things, right? He was the only one who knew about all the resets. All the deaths.
It was pointless to even sit here and keep watch. Things would happen whether he wanted them to or not. He was so powerless, so useless.
With each thought he grew more and more weary. His eyelights flickered dimly with fatigue. How much longer could he keep this up? He did a quick check of his HoPe:

He gave a dark huff of amusement. Any day now...
Perhaps any at minute...
He would fall down.
And he didn’t care. He welcomed it, in fact. The emptiness would be gone. Everything would be gone.
Slowly, he closed his eye sockets. He felt a sort of weightlessness. It was strange and tingly.
And then he was gone.
