As much as Doppio didn't want to admit it, the signs were obviously clear; something was possessing his body. As unreasonable and drastic as the the measures he was about to take were, it was the only option he had thought of. Doppio clutched the crucifix and rosary to his chest, frantically mumbling the 91st Psalm under his breath; maybe the presence would be repelled and leave his body...
A splitting headache made him yelp mid prayer, but pressed on; hopefully the presence would leave his body and be driven away soon, right? Within moments, Doppio's breath seized as pain washed over him leaving him unable to speak, much less finish the prayer. 'I'm going to die.' he thought, panicking as his hand went to his throat. 'Whatever's taking over me again is going to destroy me-'
There was a soft gasp as Doppio felt his control over his own body slip away, followed by rough, exhausted breathing. "It's... not working...?" Whatever was speaking through him, it stole away the words he had in mind regarding the situation; such a deep, elegant voice, too. "I shouldn't be able to hold these now, but.... I am. This isn't making sense."
Doppio felt sympathy for the entity possessing him, almost wanting to take back control just to comfort it... but the lingering pain and exhaustion made him begin to black out; the last sounds before unconsciousness being soft, quiet yet relieved sobbing.
"None of this makes sense..."
