do you think she ever gets jealous of the others, of cleo and scott and shelby and eventually sausage for all having that option and then hates herself for the feeling surfacing. do you think she ever thinks about talking to pearl about it, wondering about apo and scolding herself even further because how could she think like that, she’s so selfish, she’s basically wishing death upon scott and how could she do that to shelby?

do you think she ever flinches around scott. and he cocks his head and asks her what’s wrong, in the exact same tone that he said “quite easily” after ripping his claws into her back (he’s changed. he’s changed. he’s changed). and shelby laughs it off and tries to move them past it, looking at drift with something deeply loving and almost pleading, wanting drift to just let it go
