Van Cameron (Liberty/Sean) Headcanons

-Sean’s number one pet name for Liberty is Babygirl

-Their love story starts in an AU of Accidents Will Happen where he actually does give Liberty a chance. He finds her sweet and endearing in her own quirky way while admiring just how knowledgeable she is. She entertains his fascination with motorcycles and that’s what it takes

-Sean is very protective of Liberty, violently so. You get one warning from him before he punches you out if you disrespect her.

-Sean’s favorite feature of Liberty are both her eyes and her lips. Liberty’s favorite feature of Sean is his curly hair, especially when it got longer in S6

-Liberty often jokes that Sean is her favorite hobbit/munckin, especially when she ultimately ends up taller than him.

-She in general got him into Lord of The Rings. Aragorn, Boromir, Eomer, and Faramir are his favorite characters

-Sean helps Liberty become more confident and assertive in herself. Liberty helps Sean be more calmer during frustrating situations

-Liberty and Alex become unexpected best friends which pleases Sean because they’re his favorite girls

- Liberty’s parents meet Sean unintentionally when Mr. Van Zandt’s car is having problems and Liberty gets Sean to help. They don’t know he’s her boyfriend yet but Danny quickly figures out that he is. He forces Liberty to do favors for him in order for him to stay quiet but he also genuinely bonds with Sean, he thinks he’s the coolest

-Once Sean expresses his desire to be the first person in his family to graduate, Liberty makes her number one mission to make sure he does. She tutors him, helps him with her assignments, even sets up private games of Jeopardy between them.

Sean is appreciative of this but he also reminds her to chill every now and then especially when he wants to makeout with her and she makes him do mock tests instead 💀

-Liberty genuinely gets a hyperfixation with cars and bikes because of Sean. She absorbs as much knowledge as she can on how they work so she’ll be able to handle her own auto issues without depending on Sean

-They would have a plot towards the end of S3 where Liberty feels pressured to have sex with Sean because he’s already lost his virginity to Amy (yikes) who taunts her that Sean needs a “real” girlfriend. When he senses that Liberty isn’t ready, he comforts her that it’s okay. He’s only ready when she is.

-They really do enjoy cuddling together, with Liberty preferring to curl up into Sean’s embrace, even when she gets taller. She pays attention to watching him sleep because in the early days of their relationship, it was one of the few times he was 100% peaceful.

-Sean loves caressing Liberty’s hair because of how soft it is, and that’s what he likes doing while she’s sleeping

-Liberty was Sean’s peace before the sh**ting. Sean was Liberty’s fire. When the sh**ting happens and Sean has to leave for Wasaga Beach, breaking up does bring them both torment. Liberty spends the second half of S4 and the first half of S5 spiraling over him being gone. Sean heals from his trauma in Wasaga but he never stops thinking about Liberty.

When he comes back to Degrassi in S6, it’s not for his middle school ex-girlfriend, it’s for his babygirl.

-They both find the other person more attractive than ever and even though there’s a brief love triangle with JT who dated Liberty after Sean left only for it to crumble in mid S5, Liberty ultimately picks Sean

-Whenever Liberty comes by his apartment with Jay, Sean absolutely makes sure the place is spotless knowing how much she values cleanliness. He hates cleaning but he hates making Liberty feel grossed out even more

-One of their favorite romantic pastimes is eating ice cream together while watching movies anywhere, especially after stressful exams (that Liberty helps him pass every time)

-Tracker respects Liberty a lot for pushing Sean to be on top of his academics and post high school goals. Sean’s parents also like Liberty for the same reasons

-Liberty finds the F*st and F*rious movies to be silly, convoluted, and mindless but Because Sean loves them, she tolerates them

-Sean loves throwing birthday parties for Liberty even though she’s not the most cheerful about them. He goes out of his way to decorate her birthday cakes and light her candles every time.

-After a while, Liberty’s parents eventually come around to accepting Sean, appreciating how much he genuinely loves and respects her along with him having the idea to pursue an ASE (automotive service excellence) in college after graduating from Degrassi.

Liberty and Sean take their relationship to the next level and they’re more in love with each other than ever before. For the most part they use protection…except the night they had their first time.

Because of that one time Liberty ends up pregnant 😶
